Procrastination-
I've been around a month. And then some. I've played that raider who demanded you take off your pants for reasons not related to sex.
I give the Arm of the Dragon something to do.
I give Drovians someone to spy on.
I bore staff into not watching me by afking before I do my twinkery.
I'm also the guy who played that person who you knew who you thought for sure was a psionicist or hidden Drovian because I always knew what you were doing.
I fought the green and red horde. And won. Mostly.
I wore a mask and held your hand while you cried and your pet monstrosity stood stonily overhead.
I was also that guy who knew he could get away but went back and jumped into the fray, knowing I'd die so that they didn't finish you.
I've been a bunch of people. Arm was a ton of fun, and just the beginning.
You're all amazing.

I went into one of these mumble chats once and told people who I play currently, because it's one of those things that I don't care much about. I don't care who knows who I play, the onus is on you not to be a douche player, I'm holding down my end find. Anyway, they got Pro in the chat, trying to stir some shit. Yo, here's the guy who killed your PC! And dude was not even phased by their trolling. All the way professional about it. Positive kudos there for disassociating himself from the bullshit.

Lol I wasn't trying to stir some shit. It's that Procrastination had talked about it earlier and I wanted him to have the opportunity to sate his curiosity should he still have it. But he's such a chill dude it was all cool. It's a holiday miracle. |

Maybe not even perfectly sensibly. But there was roleplay. I didn't die to a disconnect in the desert. I didn't die to spamming north in a sandstorm with journeyman direction sense and go into the silt sea." or, they go, "Okay, that was a raider. He was a dick. I'm sad, but it was sensible. I totally underestimated how much he wanted my pants."

Hello, count me aboard. I admit my guilt and I'll repent my sins: I originally made this account solely to download the Armageddon map. I kind of feel a lot of the general areas should count as public knowledge to most characters in the game anyway. It's not like the characters should be ignorant of the place they've lived for their entire life in, just because the player behind them is.
Honestly, though, I loved reading all the stuff on the forum while waiting for my registration to go through, even the salt. That sounds awful when I write it, but I mean it in the best way. I can definitely be a salty bastard too and I think reading you guys argue or share quotes might've been better entertainment than the Armageddon game will be.
Now to actually play the game some more, relative newbie to RPI, though not RP or muds. Maybe the map and some of the milder twinking out guides will help me last through the learning process while I try remember if I need to use !#% or ¤=| in my emote to target people. So thanks for those!
Random, final thought. Googling "Armageddon forums" gave me this shadow forum listed as the first result, easily before the official forum. Wth.

Hi.
I'm here, even though I've never put more than a few hours into my ARM account that's been around since the early 2000's.
I never really got into Arm. mostly because it's lacking all the DIKU colours I've grown to love in SOI and Harshlands.
My one interaction with staff was about a month ago, when I logged into a character who had been approved probably a few years ago. I logged in, and was told my young looking male pc was now 97 years old and would be stored. Made sense. I rolled a pc who since been IG about two minutes.
I've stayed here, mostly to get a good chuckle. You're all pretty funny, especially when you're mad. I also like to whine and complain about the current state of Shadows of Isildur, though to be honest I've pretty much given up on that avenue.
Now, I'm playing Harshlands which I quite thoroughly enjoy.

Yeah, they only have 256 colors. It comes with a default setup, but it can be easily customized. I'm now only using a few color triggers provided in my client, the mud does the rest. www.armageddon.org/help/view/Change%20Color |
