Hello there!
I'm Lisa, head admin for EoE. I started playing Armagedon in late 1997. I had a fantastic time with it! I played Laen of Blackwing, Unoei, Anya Shodar, Shalya (Mina) Al'Seik, Paige, Tonic, and ending with Oril who was my last character. I met my husband on Armageddon, at an APM (in Baltimore), and we got together a year after that at the APM in North Carolina. There are so many wonderful things about Armageddon. The world as described is vivid and has its own beauty, the documentation is better than I've ever seen, anywhere. Sadly, the reason that I stopped playing had nothing to do with anything that's wrong with the game and everything to do with the staff. Well, one staffer really. Nyr really bothers me, for a lot of reasons. He's just a big bully... he got a little bit of power on a MUD (a game that's a dying breed) and proceeded to run off several players, and insult even more than that. There are Nessalins (tough dude, but fair to me), Sanveans (one of the smartest people I've ever met), Eris (again, one of the very smartest people that I've ever met), and I even respected and liked Halaster... that dude was crazy but funny as hell. I was on staff on Armageddon as Ariel, and did that for about a year before I quit for the same reason that Jazet did. Basically my word was my bond, and I felt like I had to go through with it because I said I would if a certain something wasn't fixed.
I'm here really because we wanted to kind of get some feedback about our mud, and to chit-chat about a game that I once loved.
Thanks to those of you that have tried EoE, and for those who haven't, I hope you'll give it a chance one day.
