Needs to be possible to manually find hidden persons with search. It was always broken how scan was the only mundane counter to hide when the main fucking combat class doesn't get it, while literally every single other combat-capable class gets hide, as well as an entire race. It's neither realistic nor balanced. The whole premise of hide vs. scan is broken to begin with, especially since sneak and hide gets effectively 100% chance of success in like five days played if you use the skills with any regularity at all while scan is so much more impractical to train and isn't available to what is meant to be by FAR the most common guild in the game. There's just no reason at all why trained fighters have no answer to someone hiding, it's such a fundamentally flawed concept.

Not to mention, we're one step closer to being able to reenact The Shawshank Redemption on Zalanthas. Just need a prison system implemented. www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWJyI9OybWk... Hrmm. That means people will be able to leave makeshift alarms to identify if the spot was recently foraged by a mage. Meh.

Because it would remove pretty much the only 'complete' strength shadies have over the most melee prolific class in the game?

I don't hate the idea (I actually like it), I just think they could have spent that time fixing other things that have needed fixing for -ages-.
Like that annoying shit that happens when someone tries to disarm you, and they fail so your character mindlessly tries to reverse it, but then crit-fails and drops their weapon in the attempt.
That shit's so annoying.
Or maybe they could've worked on implimenting literally the most requested code change in the history of Arm ever: "throw torch e"

It would still be a pretty shitty way to counter hide as they can just sneak away, scan would remain the real counter. The problem is that hide is pretty much 100% failproof invulnerability against a warrior, even if he has you trapped in a fucking port-a-potty.

Have you ever been "blocked" from going a direction because a hidden person was guarding an exit. "Someone has blocked you from going east" Really? Really?!? You've gotta be kidding me! Guy forcibly kept me from going <direction>, yet I still can't see him without scan? Mundanes should not be able to do this. Or even better, when you feel someone dicking around in your pockets five or six times and gets away because y'know. lolhiddennoscan

Just re-bury it when you're done foraging, right Nick Cage?As far as Warriors with scan, I believe it's an intentional game balancer. I mean... sure, you could give them scan, but chances are that it would cap at low advanced at best, which still makes it nearly useless against any 5 day played sneaky.

Blocking while hidden, or hiding in a small room with another pc clearly emoting looking for you is abuse of code and probably have been thumped for doing that. Shrug. everything could be abused, doesnt mean it should be.
