My bad on the rinthi info - from what I'd seen a couple months back it looked like there was a lot of folks around and / or some interesting stuff going on. A couple months back rinthi westside was really active. Long story short, a staff-animated half-giant (with sneak/hide and a massive obsidian slab for a weapon) killed at least four active Guild PCs (two of them active, amazing non-com high-rankers) and sent the rinth into the current state of inactivity that it's in now. What was the deal with that? I'd seen it on the rinthi rumor boards, and when I asked about it the only answer I got was one players opinion that the current Guild was too [insert generic arm player complaint adjective here] and the HG was the imms solution to the problem. But this doesn't seem consistent with at least some of the victims you described. Any idea what their motivation could be? (Also, lets all take a moment to marvel that, if you or I were to roll up a giant and do this, the imms would animate the Guild mul and slaughter us because "The guild is too strong to be bullied by one man." However, since apparently the imms are playing the bully, the supposed powers that be in the guild have their thumbs up their asses.) As far as Red Fang - I think Cenyr has one or two wonky rooms (such as under the canopy, by the dancer) that are either coded indoors, or in some way behave differently than the rooms around them where storms / night are concerned. It's possible that this was leveraged. I highly doubt magick had anything to do with this. I think infravision was ruled out, and the only other possibilities would be an elkran's infallible ability to see 3 rooms in a storm, or wind armor. I think wind armor is a personal spell, and neither guild could have had good enough archery to one shot someone. At best, there was a touch of code abuse going on, but nothing supernatural.

Wind armor is self only. And before they closed, at least, the Red Fangs did not have any elkrosians, as the only allowed magickal guilds for the tribe were vivaduan and rukkian.
