Dazielle is a bit unnerving to play with and I feel like it just depends on how you play your characters.
I've had characters like her.

If Case is Amarisa that makes a hell of a lot more sense with the last playtimes we shared, because I liked Amarisa a hell of a lot. Dazielle... this is nothing against the person playing them, but oocly from a meta perspective... just set my damn teeth on edge.

But in my experience I had a very un chucklefucked time.
Until I made it chuckle fucked cause character development.
Maybe it's because I haven't had a bad ooc interaction with them that I respect them/not even that in some strange way.
In other news. Lord Ballsfuck was my favorite templar

I really don't even know what I'm going to do with muds anymore. If Athas mud isn't good I'll stick with shitty chat roleplays and D&D but I just can't play Arm anymore. Sorry for those people I was family'd with but eh, they'll be fine.

Balthasaurus was fun because he literally took a piece of everyone he interacted with. Usually this meant cutting fingers off his prisoners. He took a piece from my bald aide character by forcing his own aide to shave his head in servitude.
He did a lot of things hard and loose, really, but my opinion's changed to enjoy his antics in saccharine retrospect. Feeling bad I was bleeding against him back when.

its been far too long since theres been a templar char with the power to make the idiot behind the screen pucker when they walk into the room, and this is part of how it should always be with chars like that
idgaf what ppl think or care about po balts ooc motives or desires, it sounds like he did a great job shaking up cozy ooc assumptions players of privileged commoners like to make on what they can expect from templars (which, btw, is absolutely nothing at all), especially if they are their employees
great job putting the uncertainty and fear back into the game (and maybe templars) with ur char, keep up the good work

Never encountered balth but sounded like he played a templar how a templar is meant to be: scary! The gossip I've picked up on the matter is he lopped a hand (or just a finger?) of an important commoner. A red robe then swooped in to save the day and punish balth by chopping one of his hands or fingers or whatever off. This from the imms who ask you to have experience with politics when apping for their roles. you gotta love the irony there. What a precedent that makes. hurt a commoner and you get the exact same punishment despite having noble birth and being a part of the police force of the city.
I also heard the player stored a few days later. I really wonder if he quit the game completely, adding to the exodus of good players from Arm. anyone got any clues who the clueless imm involved was? I'm dying to know.
The whole situation sounds strikingly similar to RRRs experience.

Just saying, Templars are supposed to have say over who lives, dies, or is maimed. It may be rampantly destructive, but that's how it's supposed to be. Nobles are supposed to be scary as well, and damn well can be, using their status and wealth to get the Templars to handle "problems"... the trouble comes when a noble starts acting like a Templar. I imagine it's ok to turn a blind eye here or there but if it's continuous...

I wouldn't know if any nobles are acting like templars but in my experience most templars now just act like nobles. They don't appear to police anything or threaten people, they're more like businessmen. which is why balth sounded like a bloody breath of fresh air by actually stirring shit up. too bad he got punished for doing what templars were designed to do.
