Grey Forest yompars can hit very hard. They're also poisonous. They also crowd you, like they have stealth, and they'll pile into a room with you if you fight one.

Lol. Yompars are the least of your worries if you're going to head out there

If you can take a tembo solo, you can take a yompar pretty easy, it might get an undodgeable crit on you but that's about it. If you're in a place where they can gangbang you, you're deep in kryl country and should be worried about one of those instead. If it's that stray one near the north road, I'd say a 5. Unless they buffed them.
Or are you talking about the tablelands ones?

Kryl with their poison scripts, as well as rantarri and group stealth yompar the further west you go. It's a lot to worry about.

Rantarri don't have anything 'special'; they're just really tough and you'd do well staying away from them if you can help it.

How to find water for dummies? I know forage food yields some nice results

zdf: It is highly recommended to stay out of the grey forest, especially if you're traveling alone and you're not at least I'd say a 20 day warrior or ranger. That place will kill you. Both kryl and rantarri hide, and do so at levels higher than master scan can spot. Rantarri will chew you up very quickly. Kryl will inflict various poisons upon you (peraine, grishen, mul's rage). Yompar hit VERY hard when they do hit you and also inflict bloodburn upon you. The grey forest is a VERY high level area with few benefits to going into, especially alone and unfamiliar with it. Hell, even the kryl that will peraine you don't even yield peraine glands when killed and skinned because...reasons, apparently. I would head east instead, into the grasslands. There is a pool of water along the northern cliffs in the grasses, though it is very far east. You can also forage for food there (provided your character CAN forage for food) and get water sacs and pulps that can be crafted into water. Also be on the lookout for foliage that you can pick fruits from. Fruit provides some relief from thirst, though granted not nearly as much as actual water. And the only REAL concern from fauna out in the grasslands is bahamets, which will follow a path and schedule that you can familiarize yourself with. There's cilops which are aggressive will cause bloodburn, and kylori and carru which can both be aggressive, but neither are of huge concern when compared to the fauna of the forest. Just have a mount and a few red tablets and be wary of bahamets walking into the room.
The scrubs are also not a bad place to go, until you get a bit far south. Then you have raptor to worry about, which will track you if they get a taste of your blood. But that's still far less of a worry than the forest.

I'm thinking of going there. Does blood burn ever run out or do you have to have a cure? I know how to avoid Mets in most cases.
I didn't think Kryl stopped dropping glands, I've seen some in game I thought. That sucks if they don't. Any place I can keep a mount? I might be retarded but where is the water, I've got a map and shit How strong are kylori on a scale of 1-fuck

Bloodburn will eventually go away, yes. Whether or not it does so before it kills your character is another matter. It is highly suggested to get at least ONE red tablet on you before you go anywhere there are critters that can bloodburn you. If you've got the excel map, check out the northern edge of the grasslands east of Tuluk. It's pretty far east, close to the thorns, but right up against the north edge there's a room that's got a pool of muddy water in it. It's mucky, but it's drinkable and it's free.
Places you can keep a mount? Not sure what this question means. There's Morins if you want to stable the mount. And there's a few quite safe rooms accessible if you're riding - notably all the rooms that were the former entrances to Tuluk are all mount accessible and quite safe. One on the west, south and east side of the city. And the ruins on the way eastern edge of the grasses is also mount accessible and quit safe. And there's one room east a bit from the cave on the southern edge of the grasses that's also quit safe and mount accessible. There's nothing in the scrubs that I'm aware of that's mount accessible and quit safe. There's a few quit safe rooms out there you can use if you're on foot, though.
Kylori will bloody up any newer characters, but they don't hit extraordinarily hard, nor do they track or chase you beyond the one room aggression code. They're a safe critter to skill up on, so long as you're careful not to drop below whatever your threshold is for needing to sleep to heal. Hard to give them a rating as I've fought everything from tregil to bahamets/mekillots/ankhegs. Just know they have no script to them (charging you, poisoning you, tracking you, etc) aside from the general aggression code (will move toward you from one room away and attack) and don't hit too hard. You'll get in trouble pretty quick with them as a brand new character if you're not careful though.

Good news. Kylori are fucking ez to me. Finding water is ez. Finding that water source on the excel map is driving me butt fuck Is it the blue spot randomly in the north east of Tuluk? I went their and there wasn't any water as far as I know Idk a met ran in as I was exploring and I gtfo
Keep a mount meant like "Where can I shove a mount and not have someone come by and jack it" but the joke is I shouldn't ever get off it. Wheres the water in relation to the "hostile elf camp" on the excel map and I'll be good

The hostile elf camp is nothing but tree stumps at this point and has been for quite a long time, if you're speaking of the hostile elf camp on the far northern edge of the grasslands. It's really not much past that. Just keep following the cliffs east and make sure you're as far north as you can go while you do. The keyword for it is 'pool'. Read the desc or type 'l i pool' every room until you spot it.
And yeah...there's no good place to stash your mount. You can enter those pymlithe stands (there are several scattered about, check the map) and rest your mount there. At least that way it's not visible from 3 rooms away for someone to gank. But you still run the risk of having it stolen.
