Hi.
How effective did you find archery was on the outdoorsman subclass? I guess they reach advanced most likely but just how good was that in your opinion? Also do they get scan, sneak, hide to master?
Any cool observations you had about this extended subclass that you might share as well? Something you did not expect to branch, etc etc?

An outdoorsman with a high agility is going to be very effective at archery. Obviously not like a ranger, but yeah it caps at high advanced. Get yourself a nice bow, some good archery gear and a character with high agility and you'll do just fine. My memory (it's been nearly a year) was that sneak and hide both made it to master. Scan was capped at advanced, but I could spot silt worms, gith and a bunch of other things with regularity. Nothing I didn't expect to get..they branched one skill, and I can't even remember what it was or what it came off of. But I had a lot of fun with my outdoorsman. Definitely recommended, if you don't want to go ranger for whatever reason.

What are these guardians like? Could some lucky bugger score spider guardians or better?

Guardians are identical stat-wise. The only difference is desc. Some look "cooler" than others.

Barka is right. The wek level guardians are not the same as the een or mon.

Yup, I'm not sure if any are necessarily "better" than any others. I did notice recently that some of them will bash, but I'm not sure if that's a new addition, specific to a type, or simply something I've just never noticed before.
Kinda curious if anyone thinks there's any significant differences between them?
Ones I've seen so far: lavender scorpions pale spiders orange(?) scrab jakhals serpents and I believe some kind of imp?

Pretty sure summon was removed, although I haven't played a Whiran in a long time. Not sure about transference. I'd imagine it was pulled too, as it can do basically the same thing except with some additional risk (that you can mostly mitigate if you are powerful).

Summon was ridiculous. If it's been removed, that is a very good thing. I can see transference still being in the game as at least it does involve SOME risk to the casting Whiran. But summon...yeah, insta-death with no risk to the whiran. Wall off a room with an up exit and a bahamet inside, summon target, fly up and watch the carnage. And the up exit isn't even necessary, just an added safety measure. I did do that to ONE person. As a player I felt bad. But my character believed this character was a genuine threat to herself and her group and why WOULDN'T she use everything at her disposal to kill someone she thought was out to murder her and everyone she knew? Doesn't make much sense. I can't see how I can justify in character not using this technique just because out of character it sucks to do to someone. If staff don't want you using something they shouldn't put it in the fucking game.

it's the worst skill to ever enter the game. who thought a braindead insta-kill spell from anywhere across the fucking world was a good idea?
