Look, Usiku, I'm willing to concede that there are posts here which probably did not help ArmageddonMUD, and I give you credit for actually posting here (where other producers would sooner stubbornly watch the MUD burn to the ground before making a single post). But you have a tremendous uphill battle in defending your position. You need to explain exactly how Shalooonsh and Brokkr would've still been kicked off staff and banned from the MUD if the shadow board had never existed. Would it have happened sooner or later than it actually did? It's possible there's an explanation. I doubt it, but it's possible. So let's hear it. If not, every other thing you would have to say here is totally irrelevant.

Petty if they don't release the data and code. Intensely petty.
But maybe for the best. I mean, on my selfish end, I want to fine-tune a generative AI on Arm descs. I'm sure there are some/many builders who contributed who would be less enthused with that use case. (or really, downright hostile) For their sake, maybe don't release it.
And in ten, twenty years, if no one remembers this shitty game, if it's just gone with no glimmer of residue on the internet, maybe that's for the best. It turns out the stories that happened in the game didn't matter as much as making sure some creepy stalkers got their jollies catered to. A fitting fate for it to be forgotten and lost...poetic that every single minute spent on this game by every single person/builder/staff really, really did not matter. A complete waste of time for all concerned.

eh idk why you're pushing the jeshin is trying to stalk someone narrative-- by all appearances he's just trying to reconnect with someone he used to talk to in the AIM days, and you really haven't posted much to the contrary, so idk what to tell you there afaik loonsh isn't a poster here, and loonsh was doing the stalking from like within the arm community itself, and afaik most every regular poster here has been super against that sort of behaviour i feel like people here would bitch a lot more about getting doxxed or harassed from within the shadowboards if it were a thing that's happening here with any regularity whatsoever |

I know you can't but it's the easiest way to demonstrate you're just mud slinging. you have posts going back 7 years referencing this person who has ignored your messages. it's immediately obvious to even the most casual observer that you have a problem here. idk what else to tell you except maybe fuck off and seek help because you're part of the problem.

Hey look a receipt with every time I mentioned Taven. Taven didn't create an account here until after the Bebop incident. So I wasn't checking the board in hopes she responded to a message I sent her until after her account existed (obviously). Since some of you might actually talk to her I figured mentioning a few times hey I'm really just hanging around in hopes of re-connecting with so and so would prompt someone in contact with her to let her know. With all of that done I just swing on by as part of my daily killing time ritual and post about things that catch my eye. How this is stalking for 7 years or not having my messages responded to for 7 years iunno. Seems like you don't like me and you're trying to conflate things to make me seem like actual bad actors that actually sexpested and harassed people? I'm not really sure what "normal actions" I could have taken to re-connect with someone who I have no means of contacting except a previous interest in Armageddon and hoping someone in the community still talks to her or the closure of the game prompts her to login and check the message. EDIT - Out of ~1500 posts like what 10 or less mention her. That's less than... Lets see... 1% of the stuff I've spent the time to talk about on her >_> and I've written volumes on shit. |

I have so much second hand embarrassment for the theatrical way in which this is being handled. I'm disappointed but not surprised. The game itself (independent of the people that played it) as an entity was a pretty cool piece of tech and arguably an art piece. Granted, it's dated now like a Gameboy screen that it isn't even backlit but it deserved better stewardship that didn't reduce it to a platform for real world drama and abuse. But here we are with a doomsday clock ticking. Staff wants to point fingers at all of the players, but they can't even give the game the dignity of a death with fanfare and respect. To the bitter end it's some version of our way or the highway. It's a pretty fascinating thing to watch as a content marketer from a sociological standpoint. Thank you to the leaker, whoever you are, for delivering the merciful killing blow. Now we just have to see if they mean it, or if they're gonna run it back countless times like Halaster's retirement. |
