Saw someone get banned instantly from the Discord the other day for saying:
"why are boomers so horny you guys are gonna be dead in like a week"
Which gave me a hearty laugh, but has made me question something in the past couple months. Has this game always been so horny, and why does it seem like administration is playing into it? I've been around for a little while, not a super long time, but even from since I started I've seen a gradual increase in the presence of what seems like sex-based characters and descriptions containing "curved, curvaceous, immense curvature." I mean there is a PC I've seen with the sdesc "outrageously curvy woman". The leinancy on highly subjective adjectives seems to have grown on this front too.
Even some of the newer Luirs NPCs are horny now with their mega muscles and big breasts, and "insert chocolate type here" skin (which is arguably offensive by the way).
Just curious if this has always been the case, or if it has gotten worse over time. I can think of several in game scenarios where I've had to RP around characters that seem to exist soley to look at sex words, who disrupt any sort of serious roleplay going on in the room.
By no means am I claiming that there isn't a presence for this stuff but I'm curious if I stand alone in being bothered by the amount of it.

Fmes have always existed. If you look at old enough sections of the GDB you can see hypothetical tales of tressy tress and stuff. It's always been a meme and mudseches has always been a factor of Armageddon RP. Whether it's FTB or otherwise one of the methods of assassination back in the day used to be get them into the apartment and nekkid then knife em good.

MMM white chocolate...
To be fair, I don't think I've ever seen an 'fme' character so outrageous that they were just straight up disrupting scenes and preventing roleplay.
They've always been a part of Armageddon and MUDs (yes, even RPIs) in general! Where's that quote... I think it may have been mehtastic that provided the statistics? That something like over 50% (I think it's higher actually, I'll have to try and find it) of current active MUDs with significant playerbases are sexual/erotic-themed. Sex sells. I've personally never minded it. However, the whiteknighting gets really bad sometimes. That's why they had to disable rape plots, etc. all those years ago. There is no quicker way to get the ENTIRE playerbase after you.

It's pretty easy to fall back on mudsex when there's nothing to do in the game. And when there's longer stretches of plot inactivity, or when you've hit the ceiling of what your character can conceivably do, there's more of an excuse to just pass the time mudsexing. Jeshin's right though, it's always been a meme for a long time. Although the fact that it's not much of a meme anymore on official game community channels is probably a sign that it's considered normal now.
Players will play the characters they want to play. I'm not going to blame someone who wants to play "the outrageously curvy woman" but I do wonder if they picked the right game to play. Do the mudsex-heavy Arm players reading this board know that there are actual sex MUDs with hundreds of players online at any given time?
Sexy NPC descriptions are... weird. The only sexy NPC description I've ever seen was arguably a parody of sexy PC descriptions. Some people are going to be sexy, so there's nothing really wrong with making NPCs who are good-looking. (Or PCs for that matter.) But legitimately sexy NPC descriptions for NPCs that arguably can be animated concern me because it's not a good look when your staff team has a member that regularly has sexual harassment allegations levied against him. Makes you wonder who built and approved the NPC, and what they're hoping to do with it when they animate that NPC, I guess.
I don't understand what you mean by "insert chocolate type here" skin descriptions being arguably offensive. Are you saying the descriptions are racially insensitive?

How is banning someone for joking about the ooc horniness of boomers an indication that administration is "playing into it"? Given that Zalanthas is a place with broad attitudes towards sexuality, it is common to see Zalanthans have multiple sex partners. Avoid imposing your own interpretations and norms on the game world. For example, there is no sexism on Zalanthas; women and men are treated equally. This means that the following would not happen in Armageddon: a man expressing shame at being beaten sparring by a woman; someone referring to women as needing protection or coddling; a woman being shamed for sexual promiscuity while a man is praised for it. Attitudes towards sexuality are broad. Homosexuality is common, and not seen as aberrant. Multiple sex partners are common among Zalanthans, particularly in the upper classes. If you intend to roleplay out adult scenes, please make sure you are aware of our consent rules. Sex work is -normal- on Zalanthas. It's a job like any other. It's not only legal but revered in some places. There are even bloodlines that are more wanton and lusty than your average zalanthan. And what do you mean by Sex based characters? Why? Because they're attractive? That's what politically correct people call "the rapist mentality" that because people look or dress a certain way they're looking for sex. Outrageously curvy isn't subjective, it's descriptive. Beautiful is subjective. Curvaceous is factual. You know you don't have to engage with any of that shit. Why are you bothered by it?

Not all of those points flow directly from one to the next.
The admins playing into it refers to the NPCs.
Sex based characters are sex based characters. Spend money on sexy clothing and sit in bars waiting to get picked up or get an aide position and shmooze.
Not having to engage it is wrong too, as I can think of more than one leader-role in this game that is occupied by people rarely available in the first place, and are busy with erotic roleplay more often than they are taking meetings or interacting outside of their respective private areas.
To say they are just attractive is kind of silly when it becomes the norm over the exception. I've 100% seen more female elves with "unelflike curvature" than I have seen female elves that match what's expected.

The fact that "the outrageously curvy woman"'s sdesc and mdesc managed to get by staff scrutiny completely invalidates any other rejection in the history of the game.

I don't understand what you mean by "insert chocolate type here" skin descriptions being arguably offensive. Are you saying the descriptions are racially insensitive? For example, describing someone as mocha skinned is typically reserved for pornography and is objectifying. Google it, hopefully not at work.

"Outrageously" seems like a weird adverb to use, considering the subjectivity of it. In my opinion it's borderline; I suspect "the very curvy woman" would have gotten approved, it's the weird thesaurus usage that stands out to me the most. Does anyone have the mdesc that is willing to post it?

I know words like "ebony" have that connotation from prior research, but never really put that together for "mocha". Just figured people were trying to describe skin color with thesaurus terms. Although there are plenty of thematically appropriate words to use to describe color, such as the colors of various plants that exist in-game, that would have probably been better than a type of coffee bean.

Mehtastic has it correctly.
The less agency players are given to affect the world around them, or grapple with real plots or challenges - the more they will fall back on the only agency they're allowed. Namely, who they can screw over (or PK) and who they can screw. Not coincidentally, both play styles attract their share of twinks.
