Maybe. I don't really know how staff works at the upper echelons.
Nessalin seems to me like he just wants to run a game without all the fucking drama and Brokr is a damn fine coder, though he suffers from balance issues (a problem I too shared when I was a coder in other games). And there's several other storytellers who seem to do a decent job. That Arilou seems to be a real go-getter.
You have the makings of a pretty good staff roster, I think. Just need to cut loose the caustic ones and make a productive change.

You know ... his private fetishes are his private fetishes, the same as whatever his sexual preferences are. I am not weighing any judgement on that.
His conduct towards me and others during his tenure on staff are what I focus on.

also, your personal experiences with staff members are not nearly so scandalous or entertaining as Shaloonsh focused in on a certain consonant. (hahah)

I think some posts on that thread were edited, or deleted. I didnt participate in that thread, but I read it over after this post. Bebop is complaining that Veselka called her a fascist, while in response Veselka corrects her as "liberal fascists". At the same time, nothing in that thread even has the word 'fascist' in it. So I'm thinking what Loonsh is reacting to about Veselka is no longer there.

You don't even have to read both threads to know that Shalooonsh's behavior is silly. His post includes this: Please settle the fuck down. I don't like moderating things, but I'll moderate the hell out of this thread if it keeps getting heated. ... Keep it impersonal. Keep it data driven. But let's flip it around.
Aside from asshattery on the GDB ... has anyone but me ever had an actual problem with Shalooonsh? I haven't exactly seen a parade of people lining up to tell their Shalooonsh stories on the SB.
Maybe I'm the only one and he's not the problem.

Nah Shaloonsh is a good ST far as I can tell. I've been around some of his scenes (I think) and they're pretty badass. He knows how to animate the world.

The way the staff hierarchy is set up favors storytellers' reputations, since the staff structure gives STs very basic duties that most people enjoy - animations, character reports, etc. You'll be hard-pressed to find game-related conflicts for STs since it's rare that they participate in things that would actually cause conflict. The Admins take the heat for STs and the Producers take the heat for Admins.
That said, when he was an Admin long ago, he was a complete ass. Even as a ST, when presented with the chance to design clans or parts of the game world, he focuses on things that will benefit himself as a player (or player of an avatar), not the game as a whole. The Bejewelled Hand, back when Tuluk was open, is a prime example of how Shalooonsh operates. And he currently uses his position to troll the playerbase with no consequences.
It doesn't matter if he animates stuff and approves characters, if he uses that "hard work" as a way to justify being a shithead.
