On the week of August 26 to September 2, one staff complaint request was submitted, and promptly "resolved" in 0.05 days (about an hour and twelve minutes).
If this was your staff complaint, and you'd like to share your story on a more public forum, please post here. I (and I'm sure many other players and ex-players) would love to hear about it. Thanks.

On the week of September 9 to September 16, 2019, a staff complaint took 219.94 days to resolve.
Was your staff complaint from February ignored for months before finally being clicked just so it could get off the list? Feel free to post here.

219 days??
I hope at some point in that 219 days they notified the dude and said, "Hey, we're looking into this."
Being ignored for 219 days would just piss me off.

I could see this happening if staff made a request of a player in the complaint, but the player never replied (because they quit the game, the staff request was unreasonable, or any other number of reasons) and staff eventually closed out the request. Just look at that log Shakes posted of Greedy One to see how staff can act hostile and childish when a player/staff issue arises, and absolutely destroy any hope the player has of getting a fair resolution.
I've seen it happen a lot, it's happened to me, and is probably why so many people think staff are using the game as a playground for their PCs. When you have good experiences with low-level staff, and then suddenly everything does a 180 when a high-level staffer gets involved and is extremely personally invested where before they were ostensibly absent, it leaves you blindsided and wondering what just happened. And, of course, the simplest conclusion is that your angle, issue, or goal involves that staffer's PC in some way, which is why they came out of nowhere and just tore into you on a very personal level. The low-level staff went along with it because you were within the bounds of the game, then the high-level staff slam on the brakes and dredge up some minor shit that wasn't an issue until then to derail you so that it doesn't impact their "winning".
It's really off-putting and drives people away. Even if you don't come to that conclusion, like shakes seemingly didn't, the sheer absurdity and inability of high-level staff to act like reasonable, adult human beings wrecks your faith in the management of the game. Combine this with the hurdles for karma roles that staff clearly have no interest in even pretending to follow, and you can see why someone who gets to the point of making a staff complaint would just say "fuck it" and not deal with staff anymore if possible. The double standard is terribly blatant, and considering the state of the game, I don't feel like staff has ever demonstrated that they deserve a double standard, or have earned player trust.

Yeah, I could see it happening under the circumstances you mentioned. I assumed the simplest possible explanation was most likely to be the case, and admit that I could be wrong in that regard.

The lack of transparency is the biggest issue.

Even if u fuck up like that, you don t report it. As if that transparancy matters after all the fuckups they have, bah. A worse case is my case, it was like "well instead of responding to this guy's request, lets kill him"

A worse case is my case, it was like "well instead of responding to this guy's request, lets kill him" The problem with this strategy is....while dead pc's are gone, players have this awful habit of surviving virtual kills. In order to decrease the amount of complaints, staff needs to up their complaint resolving kill methodology into the Real World. That obviously, is the best path forward.

From September 30 to October 7, 2019: One staff complaint was resolved in 0.7 days (~17 hours). Update that to four staff complaints resolved in 0.22 days on average (5.28 hours). With a little help from Mr. Algebra, we find that the three additional staff complaints were resolved in *drum roll*... 0.06 days (1.44 hours) on average. In case you were wondering why there's currently a GDB thread on how badly staff complaints are handled, this is fucking why.
