One is a tower and below it was some sort of death fog. It gave you warnings that you couldn't breath but I thought, "surely there's got to be something on the other side of the fog worth protecting with a magic fog."
Another was a cave around the old volcano. You can't ride into it but looking at it and inside it didn't give me any clues.
My exploration now is mostly limited to roaming around areas I know are safe and checking to see if anyone died with a full, unlooted corpse.

I feel mostly the same. Oh, some other high-karma gick can spy on me or hurt me in some way? *SNORE*. This. Hopefully they don't get send shadow. Besides that, idgaf.

Never heard of any of that.. there are very few death traps left in the game and if you go into a flagged area the staff are usually good about warning you to turn back before they spawn shit on you.

DT rooms were considered lazy world-building when I was building zones in MUME in 1994. They are not popular whether in RPI or otherwise.

I'm a little afraid of drovian ethereal. An enforcer who can appear 'anywhere' in the game, do the kill, survive 40 seconds, and then dissapear is a very scary concept.
The reason why it was okey for full drovians to be able to do that is because their actual melee deadliness was very limited. But now ...
Well, at the same time, that's the reason why they are karma 3. Let's see how this will change things.
And yes. All templars have detect eth now. Which they have on constantly.

A trained up enforcer is ALREADY a monster.
BUT you can't take a Drov subguild and slipknife or bounty hunter. So what you gonna do? There's a big tradeoff there. A raider/drov or fighter/drov might be just as deadly.
One theorycrafted idea I've had before is the fighter/rogue.

I think the game is decently balanced. There will always be strong PCs running around with max skills. The whole idea that magick can help can be true but it can also hurt you.

Now I'm remembering I did hear about that death fog tower way way back in the day. Wish I'd paid more attention at the time, I totally want to hire a disposable half-elf and go check it out.
