Heh. Anytime I get my hands on a new mechanic it takes me a little while to figure out how to exploit it properly. Maybe that's my sub-caveman IQ.
I wonder why the impetus for this change?

I'm not going to complain about getting more content back in circulation.
Anyway, learning how to exploit powers well is part of the fun, which is why I'm not providing a detailed breakdown on how all the ethereal mechanics work. Study them well and you will be strong.

On the regular forum, I read where someone has waited 17 years for a karma point.
17 years.

Maybe they should suck less ass. Or ask for the point. Because unless you're a shithead, the first point is basically free.

I'm not sure what he meant or who he is. Or whether I saw it on Discord now that I think about it. Trying some new weed today. It's making for an interesting day.

Or staff could set up a notification system that collects a list of accounts that have X amount of karma but haven't gained karma in Y amount of time, then review them and grant karma as appropriate. Y'know, do their job of making the game a pleasant thing to play.

Player priorities are so funny. I could care less about this change.

Player priorities are so funny. I could care less about this change. I feel mostly the same. Oh, some other high-karma gick can spy on me or hurt me in some way? *SNORE*. I would genuinely be much more excited to see a new city on the other side of the Silt Sea, or a thousand more rooms added east of the Grasslands, or something like that. Something accessible to the entire playerbase. In terms of code, this was probably just removing the comment indicators around some old code or a cut-and-paste into a new subguild template. Really don't mind some high fantasy magic spilling back into my low fantasy world, but I'd like to see something new maybe.

New areas are always very exciting. Supposedly they are working on expanding the world some more which is great.

There's another mud I play on rare occasion (but used to play a lot before I discovered Arm), and it's got near a hundred-thousand rooms. HUGE areas. But only like 12 players at any given time, and if you use a scry spell you're likely to see 7 of them in the same room all the time.

Staff has confirmed new areas are in the works. There are also a few bits and pieces around the south that are new-ish if you look for them. I too would be more excited by a new city than drovians but hey it's worth talking about

I've found one newish spot in the south but not any of the others. I'm inspired to go look.
It's all hopefully aiming for a richer world. That's what I'd like to see. More options and choices, more places to play and base around, etc.

I think the world in general could use some "livening" up. I've posted this before; more random ruins/outposts/oases for people to rest at it. Or fight over?

I think the world in general could use some "livening" up. I've posted this before; more random ruins/outposts/oases for people to rest at it. Or fight over? Deeper ruins that can be explored in mundane fashion. With ... I dunno ... the occasional possible reward for doing it. I've found a number of ruins in the game now ... one killed me with some sort of magic fog. Another spawned giant spiders on me. Another I just flat out died for no apparent reason. Just boom. Dead. Heart attack? WTF. The game world is so potentially interesting. It's just not exploited very deeply.

It would be nice if there weren't any 'lol you die' rooms that weren't telegraphed. Where the fuck was the instant death? I've never heard of anything like that. Or the fog.
Giant spiders, I know about that one, pretty sure it's not in the game any more.
