Every Monday, when I remember to anyway, I make it a point to check Armageddon's weekly stats to see how the numbers are doing: armageddon.org/updates/index.php?week=30&year=2018Today I noticed quite the anomaly in last week's numbers. Apparently, despite Armageddon falling in the Mudconnector rankings and not appearing in the Top Mud Sites rankings at all, they got 61 new sign-ups and a total of 210 unique logins. The new account number is way higher than the usual 20 to 25 and seems to be associated with a similar uptick in character applications. Is a bot swarm targeting the game? Did Armageddon take on 40 new staff members? Blindly speculate below. |

can't wait to hear about how this is another move in the 4d chess game that is the "outright, steady paced, determined smear compaign [sic]" against armageddon mud.

Well. I imagine some old players who dont want to return as their old accounts, or might not even recall their logins/passwords, visiting in to check out the new guilds. Or the currently playing players who have long lived characters that they dont want to store, creating a dummy account just to try out the new guilds. That's my theory, anyway.

And they all decided to come back on the same week, weeks after the classes were released... Well, at least it's a step up from your previous paranoid ramblings. |
