Salutations, I have decided to out myself and see how quickly my account (Which I have logged into once or twice within the last year) gets banned.
To start off with, I see nothing wrong with accessing these boards to obtain information which the 'in-crowd' has access to but do not readily share with others. It is also the equivalent of wagging my tongue at staff who couldn't see past multiple attempts to play a role and decided to pass out one measly karma to a player who has been around since 1991, on and off, to allow them to have some form of satisfaction playing a game that I used to love. I was around and discovered numerous bugs, exploits and code issues within the game. I played as accounts Hammie2, norcimo, omicron, dip, raxxar and most recently, donavanpax and frankjacoby. I discovered the dupe bug, the infinite money scheme, the leading 8 billion creatures to the gates and slaughtering half the city exploits and the good old halfling attacks in Tuluk. I have also played some memorable characters and bumbled into the Klestion clan, killing Mahesh and some others I won't mention that were VERY HIGH profile so as not to get some former buddies banned as well. I have helped engineer the rise and fall of lots of people, but I will remain anonymous with that as people will get butthurt that I called bullshit on their so-called accomplishments. All of the accounts with the exception of 2 were banned for the aforementioned, but others I abandoned because I KNEW staff didn't give a shit about a loyal player who worked his ass off trying to improve the game. I have been to several functions and rubbed shoulders at the cons but I remained anonymous and on the fringe and unnoticed because that's what a good real-life rogue does.
Either way, my main point is that the game itself is dead, dead because we are reduced to the role of pawns, it doesn't matter what we do, we won't get leadership roles and be able to run our own plots and do what we want unless the staff wants it. Unless we're on the in-crowd, we won't get what we want, we were deluding ourselves for giving a shit for so long and we deserve all we get. I won't say I was the best role-player, but I for dam sure am better than Lizzie who couldn't RP her way out of a tavern. But them's the breaks, personally, I prefer coding my own games, enjoying the time with my wife and kids and other family than wasting it on a good-for-nothing (Now) text-based game run by Mini Donald Trumps.
So, in parting, 2 thumbs, one dick and 2 balls up.
Peace out Armageddon (Not shadow board)
