Anyone know the whole IC story behind the last HRPT? I know the ooc reasoning behind it but why were they trying to open a portal? What exactly is the black moon? I guess they were setting up for the end plot with the volcano popping up next to allanak but anyone know the actual IC story behind it all?
My guess is that the black moon is the dragon muk put to sleep which was buried in under tuluk? Maybe it was supposed to revive for the end plot?

I honestly don't think the immortals have a clue what the moon is either. Sometimes they just do shit without taking into account the ramifications; "who will suffer as a result of our actio--bah fuck it, let's eliminate an entire tribe from the game."
Honestly, c'mon now: what was the point of kryl? of a battle between unseen forces in the heavens (old HRPT)? of closing gith? mantis? Blackwing? of eliminating halflings? Dune Stalkers? CAM? Quick? Black Moon?
The point of this game has always been and will continue to be about the magickal/the mysterious/the godly -- as much as staff claim for Armageddon to be harsh and gritty, in the true scheme of things it is anything but.
But alaaas, I digress:
The volcano was supposed to swallow up Allanak before the game transitioned to 2.0 as far as I know.
Elkros and Nilaz were also going to be removed from the game -- we'll see how that goes now.

Arm 2 may be dead, there was however lots of player made content submitted that will more than likely be picked through and added into the current game if it fits. I would put money on it. It is a trend to get the players to do your work for you I have noticed. I am pretty cynical though, maybe there was an Arm 2 planned. I doubt it. I am willing to venture that the staff is too lazy to even code something as complex as Diku. Could you imagine if Arm had Aard's coding? It would be the most amazing rogue like game ever made.
Moontug made a mapper kind of like Aardwolf's for playing Arm in tinyfugue but I lost the script a long time ago.
