To all those responsible for this site, and to all the people posting, thank you!!!
The only thing that surprises me is that a forum and site like these haven't come out sooner. The arrogant and mean spirited attitude of the staff GDB pretty much cried out for a forum such as this to come along. And its not only Nyr, he is probably the poster boy but many of the staff members have this lousy attitude towards everyone.
I think someone mentioned it already but I think some of the staff hate the game, they hate staffing, but they love being able to be dicks and have their asses kiss on the GDB so they stay. Its their little fucking castle and if people don't suck up, they threaten to sit on their ass not to do shit for anyone. And they have done stated this before on the GDB. When they feel remotely criticized, they post how it puts them off the mod from doing ALL the stuff they supposedly do. So petty and childish.
Despite what they might do or have done for the game some people on staff seriously need to move on and let new blood take over. They keep going on how they are volunteers as if that is an excuse to do a shitty job, everyone from players to staff put in effort and time in this game to make it fun, no one forced them to be staff members. I remember when they used to use the fact they paid out of their pockets to make themselves feel entitled and above criticism. Even back then, some people wipe their asses with more money then it takes to run that game for several years.
For too many years the game and the staff have been above criticism shrouded by censorship and secrecy. Well when that happens, all your get if lazy bastard and a stale game as we've seen. Don't let those elitist assholes tell you otherwise, not only did they have it coming but getting all this dirty little secrets out in the open will only make for a better game in the future. Its no different then the music industry and napster, they ripped us off with CDs for the longest time until someone broke their little monopoly, we got better deals at the end.
Anyways i just hope you guys are able to get the word across to everyone in the game about these forums. Maybe make accounts through free wifi or something and private message everyone you can with the links before spamming the GDB and getting banned. Taking your sites off adblock too. I hope we can someday get a copy of the code, and make it free for everyone to use.
You know what the real sad part is, this forum is the most exciting ARM related thing to happen in a long time. So far the HRPT has been kinda bleh.
