Messing with the Facebook group

he got banned because I told him not to edit the post and put the link in but he decided to do it anyway, then he declared i was a facist. until that point though he had no problem with the boards and posted previously to get his questions answered. it's funny looking at his FB profile though because his whole schtick is the stereotypical UC Berkeley college liberal that rages against any type of authority figure. i would hardly consider myself an authority figure but i could def see how a confused college student could mistake me for one. he seems to have taken his banning pretty personally.



i would hardly describe this board or the website as anything close to serious. the website is utter shit that i slapped together in a pirated copy of dreamweaver, i know literally nothing about web design and just used it as a vehicle to post info up and mostly to spite nyr. this is a freebie board and if i was halfway serious i would pay for a real hosting domain and put up ads to make even more money off of all the hits this place gets. could I quit my dayjob nah but an extra 25-50 bucks a month off of adsense would be nice. every now and then people click on the ads on the main site (ps click the ads and buy shit through amazon folks) and i get a few bucks towards gear money, which makes this whole endeavor worth the two hours i spent a month tops authing people, adding things to the wiki, or answering the stray question.

i have no idea what the 'scales fell from my eyes' is supposed to mean at all. you can play a vidya gayme and enjoy it and still admit it's totally flawed and run by idiots, these aren't mutually exclusive things. people can still post on this board and enjoy the discussion and think i'm a moron or think other posters are a moron. i think he's just upset that he got kicked out of a club.

one thing i find funny though is the people bending over backwards to defend the game are the same players who regularly use Armageddon as a substitute for real life social networks. regularly posting on the GDB multiple times for day, meeting up with players IRL, all facebook friends with each other, and so on. i'm laughing my ass off at shaleah's (tammy's) posts because she would CONSTANTLY get into huge fights with staff back in the heyday of like 2004 or 2005 when she played, or melt down over stupid shit and was always the first person to call out the dumb shit that would happen. shaleah was godawful about not spreading IC info, she loved talking about things over IRC and AIM. blaze was bitching on the arm facebook page a while ago too about the status of things(see the 'shalooonsh come post here' thread). All these people are just posting to defend their internet friends though.

Honestly though, I really don't give two shits about the status of things though or see a point in arguing. i don't play arm, the only MUD I have played in the last two is parallel and I haven't spent more than 2 hours on, which I spent making wires for my clan. I like running this board though; i see some of the lore that I never saw before and it's really cool to watch a community develop and grow over time despite the imm staff of Armageddon's best attempts at matching up player accounts to posters on this board (another player got caught recently and PMed me about it). since the board has been so heavily infiltrated and there's not much I can do I'm pondering just making it public.

He's not mad, he's letting the idiots have it. Me? I am thoroughly enjoying myself.
