That's like 50 pages of spam, can anyone give a summary? We rode up on a bad guy camp. Suddenly POW PIT TRAP NO ONE SAW. Bad guys sat on top of the pit, and jacked every pc that climbed out. When a couple of us got out, an npc killed the bad guys and had high dramaz most of us didnt understand. Edit. I'm just bitter because I lost a favorite pc, who was basically my longest played spellcaster. |

I was the corpulent, trinket dude, and holy shit, what a nightmare. There wasn't even - Delerak, you mentioned this earlier - a fuckload of amazing shit at the end... It was just carnage, utter carnage, and I think that sort of brutality should be characteristic of the game as a whole... But it is hard to be really enthusiastic when such brutality isn't really universally applied and in fact seems to surface in order to suit the whims of a staff-sided metagame.

I thought it was cool. I thought it was a good RPT, in the scale of things. Unfortunate that it wasn't very meaningful or dynamic when you step back and look at it. But a good player wipe is always fun. The real unfortunate part was that it was only bynners being wiped. There was nothing that rank-and-file bynners could do to really avoid getting fucked and there was not much that other clans could have done to get involved because the game world is too damn big.

As I said in the other thread about the Byn, I really loved this event. I played Cueron, the small, lean, umber-tanned man. I was with the group who crawled out of the pit. Watched Sefaj get taken to low hp and fall back down the hole, heard the beep later. Watched Albie(pretty sure it was Albie, but not positive, that dude's lived forever) get knocked out in a couple hits by the Giant NPC who lucky went down the hole to fight others. Me and 2 others were left stuck up there fighting a pretty badass Pc, then all of the sudden we destroyed it. This left only the Mul alive up top. I was still pretty high in HP maybe around 90, I could tell the Mul was acting different and wasn't going to kill us, but I got blood-thirsty with another one of the guys and we attacked him. He Poked me twice with a pike, I think it was one to the leg, one to the arm and I was in negative hp. It did such hugely surprising damage for limb shots, that's all I remember.
I drifted around -8 hp for a while, sure I would die, but someone bandaged me up. Not sure if any of that's in the log, I'll read over it later. It's a really good memory for me, I had a lot of fun.

Attacking a mul wielding a pike is a bit like attacking a blender with your dick.
(and lol, it was probably being animated by a staffer who has never even sparred or grinded a warrior to an advanced weapon, and they just randomly picked out pike weapons and gave him like 70 in it. To those not in the know, it is virtually impossible for a PC to raise an advanced weapon above journeyman...and even that is extremely impressive without hardcore near-cheating)
