Man, you guys have a way to twist any piece of Armageddon news into some super crazy conspiracy (it's fine, I do it too once in a while).
Calavera left months ago because the player is overwhelmed with RL work and when their workload gets lighter, I guarantee you that the player will happily return.
Italis tends to come and go, it's not the first time the player left and it won't be the last time I bet (the player also leads a pretty busy IRL so staff'ing tends to come and go with their schedule as well)
I feel good about the current crop of Staff. Talia is wonderful and as long as she's around, I think that the game will go in a positive way (she seems to be responsible for a lot of the new plots/RPTs) and she's also pretty positive.
Are GMHs still pretty boring as hell? Yeah, probably. I've never really played in them in the past because I don't like being stuck around players/characters I don't like and being clanned is sorta like sharing a cell with a bunch of weirdos and you're stuck in there with them until they get out or you get out.
Mind you, I'm not currently playing the game but I've got plenty of Armageddon player friends that I talk to and they seem to be happier than usual about it (especially the 'Nakki folks)
Also, Calavera was Northern Team, not GMH Staff before the player left. I know because I was bummed that Calavera left the human tribals team like a week after I joined one.

what conspiracy? My commnt in the log was that playrs wouldnt have anyone to reject their requests for a while. And that they would stll get as much nothing done as they were with STs.

I started playing in GMHs when Kadius was on the tail end of having been built up by Jolanda. At the time when I got into the GMH thing, Kadius and Kurac were the only ones wth lots of PCs.
And in the Northlands, Kadius was THE clan. Tuluk as we know it was occupied by Allanak and had zero indigenous clans, besides Kadius. At any rate, Kadius was the only one with a compound and its own village. Basically, Luir's in the bombed out crater of a city, which was occupied by the opposing army. It was cool as fuck.
GMHs have enormous potential to be lots of fun, with or without staff member intervention. In fact, I have had fucktons of fun with little to no staff oversight in GMHs.
Once, after the Salarri Expansion Division was in full hard on mode, I made a comment about how, when one player is handed an AK-47 and another is handed a nicely dressed doll, well, then the results of what will happen in terms of story lines and whatnot will be predictable.
But, what I think is cool, is when a player is handed the equivalent of a doll in the midst of a bunch of dudes with AK-47s - yet still manages to pull off some cool shit.
GMHs have the capacity for great fun, even if what you're getting yourself into, aesthetically, is merely a doll in the midst of a bunch of heavy weaponry. It's contingent so much on players and player leadership, regardless of the IC schematics of the group that's being discussed.

I think GMH players are pretty happy with staff's activity of late. Maybe not the bat victims.

What's your narrative, lulz? Aside from flipping over each time someone writes (and rightly so) how lame d-elves are, I'm not seeing much out of you aside from being completely out of touch with Arm.

My hope is for Arm to get a solid core of staffers (producers [yak] included) to shape the world. Even though I don't play anymore, I want the game to succeed.
I also routinely help other players when they PM me with questions about how to survive and succeed with their class/concept.

Well, there's currently 70 players online, on a Monday night, and I'm hearing good stuff about Staff in general lately, so here's to hope.
My own narrative is that I'm trying to keep a balanced view of both sides. If Arm is doing well, I'll say so, if there's shitty situations going on, I'm not afraid to say so either. (It's not like I'm trying to hide behind another name here, and no, they haven't taken any of my karma away either)

My own narrative is that I'm trying to keep a balanced view of both sides. That's great. I also have defended staff in the past; if I agree with a decision they make, I say so, as evidenced by a number of posts on this very board. It's not like I'm trying to hide behind another name here, and no, they haven't taken any of my karma away either Let's be fair, though: Seeing as how several other players have had their karma docked or at the least been threatened with karma reduction just for visiting and/or participating on this forum, don't you think that might lead one to assume that you're merely doing it for staff's benefit and they've tacitly endorsed such behavior, as outlandish and silly as that may sound?

Wait.. You think that I'm here to mindlessly praise Armageddon's staff and that I'm some sort of spy/cheerleading man? Er.. You must not have read all of the rants I've been part of on the GDB in the last few months and that I also got banned from it for being on Kronibas' side when he got publically Nyr'ed just a few weeks ago. It's not because I said that I had a couple of decent conversations with Nyr outside and not Arm-related at all a few weeks ago that they've suddenly brainwashed me. I'm not here to make friends nor am I on the GDB to make friends (I'm pretty sure that people dislike me a lot more on the GDB than people here), I just say what I think either way. That's the problem with this board, if you're not pissing all over Staff 24/7, you're the enemy.

Your reading comprehension is quite poor.
Please revisit what I said.

I'm reading and re-reading and I still don't understand what you're trying to say, so let's just disagree to agree and fight it out with knives and dance moves at the next Burning Man APM instead.

I'm reading and re-reading and I still don't understand what you're trying to say. Let me help you: I never said you're on the take or have ulterior motives; rather, I said your statements might open the door for others to assume you're doing it for staff's benefit, "as outlandish and silly as that may sound". <-- Those are my words. In other words, the mere fact of you stating you haven't had your karma docked is only going to open yourself up to attacks by others. There's no point in doing that; doing so is ill-advised. If you're still posting on this board yet profess to still play Armageddon, most reasonable people will arrive at the conclusion that you likely aren't being punished or simply don't give a fuck. So, please don't a) twist my words in such a fashion so as to belittle my argument; b) resort to pathetic attempts at invoking a straw man; and c) fallaciously claim that on jcarter's forum, if you're not "pissing on staff 24/7, you're the enemy." <-- Those are your words. You are absolutely welcome on this forum, but your ridiculous hyperbole most certainly isn't.

I think lulz is one of the more coherent posters here.
I actually think staff has done a kick ass job for arm in the last few months. you can't please everyone and those who are still irked / banned / bitter / ticked off will take any bit of news from arm to fuel their w/e agenda.
Some people here write they want arm to get better but they sound like bitter, battered ex-wifes getting tanked at the bar while railing at their ex-husband whose moved on, re-married and found happiness.
