It's just the fact that as a player, defending myself against an unseen staff member whose actions were mostly cloaked is, well, not really a fair fight. I wrote to sirra about the importance of the veil of secrecy and why it is so important to the success of Armageddon. The veil of secrecy should not be used by imms to attack players... It's there for a different reason. Yes, she was entitled to defend herself. Could she have done that without trying to "dox" any health problems that I had in the past? Probably. Oh, I totally agree with you, which is why I decided to leave Arm when Nyr started digging into my player account and announce to the rest of the GDB that I liked playing characters who's name started with K. I know it seems like crazy silly at first, but from past experience, when a Staff starts doing that, there's no telling where he's going to go next (if anyone remembers Kite and SoI, I had the same bullshit happen with him when he couldn't find flaws in my complaints, so he just started tossing personal stuff to attack me). So I wasn't surprised at all when he started exposing your personal info (karma number and all) on the GDB to "defend" himself back against you. Of course, considering that 99% of the stuff I ever wrote on the GDB about myself is pure BS, and that I constantly use 2-3 different IP addresses, whatever BS you might dig on me is probably false, so I couldn't care less, it's just the principal. |

Unlike you, I probably have a ton of BS that can be "dug up," but the fact that my Facebook profile picture is my mug shot probably shows how much I really care, most of the time. If you want to know the sordid details of my life that have led me to living on a pot farm with a stripper, I will gladly tell you. Really, Vanth's "attack" seems hardly worse than what a friend would say to rib me, but the fact that her intent was genuinely to try to cause me harm is what bothers me, not necessarily her Great Revelations on Kronibas Sucking.
I'm really glad Vanth decided to speak her piece. I think it is exceptionally revealing in ways that she didn't really intend, maybe like how Nyr's public spasms of rage are telling in their own right.
I am very far from perfect or normal, but at least I don't shit on people hardly ever, especially when it comes to Armageddon. It's like, my happy spot, and I mostly try to be a good dude on there.
The only people I am critical of on Armageddon are people that have really been critical towards me. Sometimes I feel bad about being critical of the staff, because volunteers, but guess what? They have critiqued my play a /lot/ and now an ex one is coming forward to critique me as a /person/, which clearly demonstrates the biases that caused these problems in the first place.

The whole "this person felt they were scorned by myself and took unfair action" is actually given merit by the admitted fact that they molested your drunk body years prior, in my opinion.
It digs the hole deeper, but this hole is just a side-effect of much bigger problems than karma. Scary big problems.

I can't help but think that anyone who takes such a biased and short sighted view of things is a major asshole. I've seen how being fucked with sexually can tear a person up, with both men and women. Having a penis means you have a penis, not that all advances are somehow welcome now because of the genitalia you have. :/ Had to join in the crazy after reading some of the responses, @kronibas. Sorry so much of the pbase left sucking dick for karma are such a pile of hot garbage as to be so insensitive and dismissive. |
