Spilt? all right, i recall where we left off. All of our plans would probably get a bunch of people banned since they are out in the public (RSG's depressingly likely prediction). But we seemed to mostly agree RSV is the greatest thing since spider meat sammiches, the rinth'd be a good call, and raiding would be fun. EDIT: Oh, and mood recommended any future discussion (for people srsly doing it) should go with a group PM. i'm not gonna do it so I will probably stick with tossing "what if" ideas round in here. |

Rinth or Red Storm are definitely the best locations. Would never app into a group with you most of you losers, though. Half of you are as bad as the filth that you complain about. Would make an exception for lulz, tek, Jcarter or grumble. Voted for outdoors as dangerous and everyone in one location. Would have voted for the noble houses being populated but that wouldn't go over well with the amount of socially unstable nerds and autists that flock to these types of games. And you're the kind of elitist bitch that ruins RPI's with your selective RP, and overbearing sense of entitlement. Would've voted for you to shut the fuck up, but it isn't in the polls. |

You guys have already pretty much ruined it for yourselves. You know they read this board. There's no way you can pull off any kind of concerted roleplay now as it will be painfully obvious who you are no matter what area you decide on. Besides, if you genuinely think you can jump in and make a difference, you're a bit deluded. If you don't get banned outright, you'll just be railroaded down Nyr's trademark Roleplay Stifler, probably by having a bunch of NPCs suddenly contrive to be your enemies and refuse to let you succeed at anything whatsoever.

Wait, so let me get this straight. So anybody that tries to start a small clan in the 'rinth or RSV is us shadow boarders and bans are going to get handed out? I don't think staff would do that, because logic.
Some of you are super-paranoid. I don't think that'll happen and I think they're encouraging people to RP together in small groups. Some of you solo RP twink guys can wrap your heads around this.

Everybody's not going to run out and app a character right now so they can play in the 'rinth. And how would they know the difference between a shadowboard group that forms there and a non-shadow board group that forms there or anywhere? They're just going to hand out random bans because some people who may or may not play threw that out there? Yeah, ok....paranoid. And before you try to jump on "people do that on the GDB all the time", they do. Just look at all the character concept ideas, people do, do them and it's right out there on front street. We've already pointed out that people on the GDB have AIM, ICQ and whatever messaging system right on their profile....they aren't "colluding" though, right? |

Whats really funny, now the staff have to worry and bother every tiny group or character that pops up out in RSV or the Rinth.. which I find delightful in a twisted way.

I do believe the outside harshness option is the easiest. Those still playing arm do not need to team up right away. It's totally fine to make raider/aggressive/outdoor harshness characters and eventually meet each other over time. If staff give you shit be like, I THOUGHT THAT WAS THE THEME OF OUTDOORS AM I DOING IT WRONG?!

This isn't three dudes hunting together. If even half as many form a group, it'll be instantaneously obvious, in light of this thread, and especially as many will probably be on new accounts. ontopic: the cool thing about noble houses is that if one city sees a large increase in a number of house employees, other non-shadowboarders are likely to be drawn in due to the visibility over, say, raiders hiding in cave #7482, or people in red storm. also you'll get to plot to undermine and murder each other for advancement and favor.

Attempting to join into one clan is literally impossible. Noble Houses actually have OOC restrictions on hiring and the staff have already shown they're willing to slap those restrictions on the Byn. You pretty much have to go with a concept of changing the game world via action. That is why harsh wilds works. You can have characters appropriately following documentation fulfilling various roles to harshen the wilds and then compete or team up naturally thus masking the actions from the staff.
Will they still ban people, probably, will they be able to simple go hey this clan is to big lets lock recruitment and now review everyone for potential collusion... Newp.
