Anyone know forage locations for rare gemstones like diamond, ruby, emerald, and whatever? Like which room type? (I've heard Red Desert, but is there any more specifics?)
Additionally, baobab branches used to be found in regular forest rooms, now there is talk on the forums that they are only found in certain rooms? Can anyone elaborate on this?

I always heard that the top of the span/bridge thing west of Tuluk that's above the road was good for foraging gemstones.

Branches are found on tree plants throughout the scrub and forest zones, 4 picks max. Other than that, maybe you could forage wood somewhere. I'm not really sure.
The only gems I know how to find are sapphires, and other semi-precious stones. I've never found rubies, diamonds, or emeralds before in all the places I've tried.

Sapphires can be found on the arch or thereabouts, I know this reliably.

It occurs to me that the imms will come on here and nerf whatever the fuck they can, I bet anything we put on here will get nerfed, at least the locations etc. Fucking ass fucking killjoys.

Nothing said here isn't something you can't learn just walking into a Tuluk tavern and asking about.
I walked in, asked where I can find some gems for making jewelry and two people helped. One told me where, the other offered to show me.
They were both honest and neither of them tried to kill me.
Pussies.

Last character I had who needed to use wood a lot got his main source of branches from foraging. I just looked for any rooms with "Grove" in the title and would forage until I got my fill. Generally happened pretty quick apart from finding some useless twigs and vines.

Yeah, it used to be that way. Then they changed it so that agafari branches got picked from trees, but baobab branches are now rare and hard to find. That was what I was trying to locate.
And as far as staff coming on here... I think they'd take more offense to full on skill lists for all classes, maps of most of the game world, component lists by VNUM, secrets about plots and areas, then asking about forage locations ;P

I don't expect it will ever happen because that would require effort, but maybe, just maybe the skill trees will get rattled around a bit or old spells will be removed and new ones put in.

I was doing this probably only two months ago and would get enough "large" or "long" branches in an IG day that my character couldn't carry them. From a few Groves around Tuluk foraging was no problem at all. I used to play more years ago, and really just pop in once in a while these days so I'm not used to the new shit they've added like the foraging. Not sure if I could specify which species I wanted to forage for, but I would just "forage wood for branch" and end up with a mix of agafari and baobab. But if they did change that I have no clue.

Hmm.. the forage change was over two months ago, but yeah, I dont know specifically. Nyr was saying in the forums now that for baobab and stuff you have to find rooms that would look like they have fallen baobab, but I guess I'll have to check more in depth.
