I'm gonna go the other direction on this. I think you should start a thread where you maintain the first post as a glossary and make subsequent posts where you bring up words you dont recognize. Maybe we should have a thread for Board/Arm Jargon ... i also think you should PM me your credit card numbers. See you in... do the math, brain... uh... around 4 days.

5477 6927 73825 5923 Figure that out Well the leading 5 means it's Mastercard. Of course it has more than 16 digits so it's invalid. it's total is 94 which means it also fails the Checksum 10 validation. (i don't know of any credit card companies that dont use it and I do know Mastercard does.) I can't easily eliminate a digit because of the formula's nature... and I don think you'd be stupid enough to post a real credit card number with one fake digit. So my deduction is ths is at least a semi-random string of numbers.

Nah, Imma programmer. I've had to write credit card number validation functions before. Look up the 'Luhn algorithm' if you want to do it yourself. it's wonderfully overcomplicated. Tzeench would be proud.

5=MAstercard 4=visa 6=discover 7=Amex
I think, used to work for a CC company as a programmer a long while ago, there IS a pattern, that's why it's dangerous to give someone the last 4 of your CC number, this is where most of the information is. Some cards have the same 8 numbers the same at the beginning. The next 4 I think used to be some personal information, then the last 4 is the real number. Then again, this was in the 90's, things may have changed.
