Sorry to sound like a complete, N00b, but Where are the Tan Murak lands? I've never played in them, and I haven't really had that much interaction with them. Anyone want to spill?

Kind of an obsolete question. Tan Muark used to have lands of extreme wealth. For PCs anyway. Virtually, they are not "too" rich and the populace of TM have long outgrown what their land could produce. But it was good due to its natural defense and position. It was mostly closed off by cliffs, easy to defend, devoid of serious predators, and rich with small game and fauna. It was also in such a position that nobody could really take it over. Any city state had the power to take it over, but taking it over would've ment an act of war against the opposing city state. So any city could've conquered tan muark, but none could've held it for long.
This gave Tan Muark some serious advantages, to a point where a small tribe grown to thousands and thousands of people over centuries. Until Allanak thrown a volcano into it and destroyed it AAAAAALLLLLLL.
Right now, Tan Muark's lands is a land of soot covered canyons and molten lava lakes, with temperatures so high, they're draining your hp, breathing so haggard you're losing serious stamina per room. Nothing really growing. There is still some small game living there, but odds are it will all go away once the Imms get around to it. Some of it is kind of anachronistic, I think.
Not that it is entirely unliveable. Canyons in the abi'li'pah arent very rich in fauna either, but elves live there. Though the volcano lands arent as rich in game to hunt, or forage produce.
to enter them. Either go south/southwest from Tuluk, and there will be a few entrances into their canyons. Or, turn east as you leave Luirs. Normally, there would be Tan Muark guards to stop you, but since that tribe is almost extinct, no one is going to stop you, except an occasional PC, or a rogue Krathi who likes lava and doesnt like witnesses.

Everything north and east of the "fort" north of Luir's Outpost and east of the North Road up until (about) the Dol Takar Road used to all be claimed by the Tan Muark. It's all open now but look out for volcano fall out. If you don't mind the ash, the hunting is still pretty awesome south of the volcano. Hopefully the animals don't get tired of the ash and find somewhere else to live.

TM lands before it was a volcano, weren't really anything to harp over. Lots of climb rooms. Lots of random animal from all over. They had some turaal that were the only real reason to go there. They did have some cool rooms though.

Might have spelled it wrong.. They are little scurrying animals which have very very high agility. They are both hard to sneak up on as well as very hard to hit. Predominately a tablelands/pah critter. An elf sparring post more or less.

Mega stam drain. In the lower-right(IIRC) corner, there's a down room that leads to like... "Under the tar", much like the "Under Silt" rooms in the Silt Sea. However, you don't auto-fall in to the tar.
