So what's the deal with crafting bolts, crossbow bolts. I can't find any recipes which use the craftable bolt shafts as opposed to simply using branches... Also what are some of the higher craft level arrow recipes, I've seen a couple wicked carru ones and pyramid headed ones. What are the benefits of better arrows? Damage? Poisoning chance? Stun? etc  Slightly unrelated, how does poisoning work? Each hit with a poisoned weapon (ranged, mellee?) is a chance to poison based on poisoning skill or something? |

Completely unrelated, but every time someone starts a thread with the words 'what's the deal,' I can't help but picture Seinfeld. :3
Also, just because I don't want to be useless, poison skill is unrelated to the damage/effects of poison itself. Poison skill only affects the process itself; every poisoned weapon is identical to the next weapon with the same venom on it, regardless of the poisoner's skill.

I've never actually heard of anybody crafting crossbow bolts. It might not be possible. Also never saw anyone really use a crossbow, come to think of it, though I once wore a hand crossbow on my belt and occasionally waved it around like a gun.

Crossbows should see greater use, it's true. One problem is that the archery skill is so general. If you have it, you can use a bow as well as a crossbow, and a bow is just better in-game. Faster to reload and you can make arrows instead of buying them. I'd like another skill for crossbows, which are far easier to use in real life. Literally point and shoot. They'd have a shorter range and it will take a while to crank them, but more classes could use them. |

You can craft a single wooden bolt from an (agafari?) branch and a black vestric feather. That's the only one I ever came across. |

I "think" salarri has a few bolt recipes. I definitely recall watching someone make them.
