anyone know stuff about important/longtime characters? doesnt matter if they are alive/dead/stored but i would rather hear about living pcs.
especially about tuluk charas... im thinking about going there to fuck shit up & need to know who should be at the top of my shit list. i dont know a lot about the nobles and templars besides some of the names. go!

I'll be happy to spill about particular pcs I know of who've been dead for a while if you have questions about a particular one. While people are free to post what they want about who they want here, I'd rather not arm someone OOC with current IC information about characters that way. Thanks and good luck.  |

This is an awesome thread. A real test. Imms go nuts about limiting OOC information, specifically so things like what the OP is asking do not happen.
It will be interesting to see if the people using these forums can self moderate, without the need of imms going over the board over some butthurt reason.

I hear that ranger guy in the north fights a lot of verrin hawks. His class is probably ranger, but it might be warrior with a subguild in hunter. I know he uses a bow (sometimes).

I'm just going to come out and say it. This is the dumbest shit I've read on here, and attempting to do it makes you no better than the dicks that do it now on AIM or whatever the new information sharing method of choice is these days for Arm. You won't fuck up anybody who's important shit ie those who privately suck each other off and effect the Arm world. You'll just fuck up people that log on to RP, kill shit in the desert or whatever ie the normal people that just want to enjoy themselves harmlessly.
I hope nobody tells you a damned thing.

Questions like the OP's are generally harmless because the pbase generally self-moderates in public about it, whether it's on message boards or in the irc chatrooms. The real trouble happens in private messages and one-on-one aim chats where people are asking their buddy what's up with soandso in the clan and that he thinks he's a magicker because of his desc, how are his combat skills, then goes and tells their other buddy who's a templar that they suspect this guy's a rogue mage, etc. All of those have IC ramifications that aren't open to the player to look at and say look, he's abusing IC info. |

Better idea! Go to Tuluk, hang in the bar a while, and get a sense for who's who. Once you've located the movers and shakers (shouldn't take long) make yourself useful to them. Forage materials, get a working relationship, gain their trust. Then, once you're in their inner circle... backstab them! It'll be 10x as fun! Not to mention, far more players read this board than actually post on it. Almost immediately after it was posted that Hawk died, I heard people asking around IG "Hey, that Hawk guy we've never discussed before still kicking?" Just groping for teh IC info. If I post that Partisan Amos likes to walk around the warrens bare ass naked at "late at night" on Waleuks, guess what? He'll stop doing it. It's not a reliable exploitable weakness anymore. |

Though you're right on the whole Hawk thing, part of this might have to do with the Allanaki rumor board going '30K now! 40K now! So and so much now!' all the time, as well as having a post concerning his death.

I was actually noting player behavior after it was posted here, but before the rumors started showing up. So... yeah, plenty of folks read here, even if there's only a couple dozen dedicated posters. (Although, it could very well have been through other OOC channels.)
