Can someone explain how a bow interacts with stealth? If you fire a bow from two rooms away while hiding and sneaking, are you revealed? Are you only revealed if people are around to see you fire? How do bows work in cities? Is there anything in place to interrupt your shot if you fire at someone from down the street? Also, does strength effect the damage of your bow, or just the type of bow you can wield? Whats an example of an awesome bow?

Firing at someone down the street is a good way to kill them without getting mobbed by the goon squad. Don't do twinky shit like fire a bow while in the same room as a soldier or the Imms will come down on you (rightfully so in this case I reckon) Strength affects the power of the bow you are able to use properly. Salaar war bows are pretty good. Archery breaks stealth but you can likely stealth again before they get to you if you are maxxed, or just run a bit then stealth to switch rooms.
If I have any misinformation here please correct me guys.

As far as I know firing a bow breaks hide, but not sneak. Just simply hide once more, relocate and fire again.

I've been fired at by NPC gith that, within a second of getting hit, I looked in that direction and saw nothing. This happened many, many times. I've also had this happen with PC D-elves. Either they're super fast at re-hiding, or archery doesn't break hide if you're already hidden.

Perhaps at ultra high skill levels it won't break. I used to be able to run hidden as Zul from a perch along the Shield Wall back to SLK camp and stay hidden the entire time. Granted, I was following someone, but still.

if you're shadowing someone it's different. You adopt the pace they're going, but you remain hidden. That code has nothing to do with being able to fire and keep hidden.
I do believe that you are able to keep hidden even if you're not sneaking, or following someone. I lost count to how many times I've ousted myself as a shady by going over into the tavern and sitting down and they're like, "Where'd you come from!?!?!", while I stopped skulking like at Hathors. So I remained hidden walking from hathors to Gaj. My guess the odds of you remaining hidden are 'very' low though, nothing to be depending on most definitely.
Also, Gith NPCs are a little weird. Their hide doesnt work exactly the same way PC do. But they're gith. They fucking teleport out when near death.

While we're on the topic of what breaks hide -- what else breaks hide? Sitting seems to. I'm assuming resting does as well. Obviously combat breaks hide. Does drawing a weapon or pulling an arrow from your quiver break hide? Does equipping an item from your inventory break hide? Opening a door or container?

Drawing a weapon does unless you max palm as an assassin, then you can silently draw out your weapons.
Sitting of course will, though typing "inv" will not. I thought "eq" did at one time, though it's been too long now and I may have forgotten.
I would always break hide by typing "stand" even if standing IIRC.
Any action that makes noise likely breaks hide. Just play by that rule of thumb.

An assassin and I were going about, I was shadowing them. We were letting each other know when we were visible. I whispered to them and although it said 'the figure in the cloak whispers x to you' And reveals you for a second, I remained hidden. If this is not the case now please speak up. You can also whisper to a hidden person and this reveals their visible desc in the whisper emote to anyone in the room, but they remain hidden.
This is from personal experience but happy to be proved wrong. If you whisper people will know you are there, regardless.

I whispered with many hidden pcs and don't think I was revealed before. That being said, I would always hide again to make sure I didn't break it, just in case.
