I remember back in the day one of the NPC elves in that "elf filled building" north east, used to wear a copper necklace. I would try forever to engage in combat and flee enough times to seperate her from the rest of the aggro group and have enough time to kill her for it. I think I was only successful once or twice.. which of course some other PC would promptly murder me for it! I addition to the other things on this thread there are a bunch of "trap door" spots that get you across the rinth in a timely fashion. You need to have lockpicking to access them though; and search to find them unless you already know where they are. I haven't played up there in years myself so not sure if they're all still functional.

Maybe common knowledge, maybe it's been changed. Hork has two spice pouches easily lifted by a mid-level pickpocket, One has a half tube of Tho and the other has a key. Do some foot work around the old destroyed building by the body buyer/butchers and find a trapdoor that is the back exit from the Guild room. If you don't want to snap your neck falling down the well, sneak past the Body butchers and go down, open plate and move south into the catacombs, at the very end open the trapdoor that exits into the sewer.

There is also a double trapdoor into the tunnels that the Kuraci "Dust runners" or "trail runners" something, use to smuggle shit into the rinth I think. Just past the locked door in the mantis to the west when you walk south from the main bar room.

Keep in mind, that room beneath the emporium has a script that spawns a ghoul who eats you. If you are visible and room is lighted. If you go beyond the panel, imms will get an alert and can do stuff to you. Now things might have changed after jaxa pah took over from HK

My guess is that was staff and not a script. Over a couple years I'd not seen it but its been awhile.

It might've changed due to Haruch Kemad extinction. No more Nilazi Temple, no more HK, everyone's anti-magick, etc. But the Emporium shopkeeper "is" a Nilazi still and will turn you into a frog if you let him.

Yeah, it was in the sewers. Basically 4 rooms, laid out sort of like a plus, IIRC. Enter from the south side. To the east and west are little side rooms. One of them had a chest which never had l00t in it. And on the north end of the plus was an alter with a skeleton hanging over it, strung up by his own guts.
I'd wandered in once or twice with various PCs. It used to be not hard at all to find, although I'm pretty sure it would move around as I seem to recall stumbling into it at two separate locations in the sewers...

Can and if so, what level picklock can open the gates at the end of the sewers? I'd heard one goes to the prison where you can break people put?

It goes to the templarate's quarter, yeah. But you'll be going through something silly like 14 NPCs in one room and the entrance past it is warded, so you'll lose ethereal if you try to go past and die 'very' quickly. And if you "do" manage to fight your way through, you're face to face with a White Templar upstairs.
Those forces were not always there. There is actually log in submissions on the Armageddon website of some player HG who accidentally stumbled there and had the white templar animated for him, who was basically just OMGWTF ARE YOU DOING HERE?
Some of those gates are no picklock.. Another is master, and third one is pinnacle. None of them really lead anywhere interesting. Not any save/quit rooms, or anything.
After the Gith invasion, a lot of of those gates lost point. Like you were able to use one of those gates to get out of the sewers and come out in the Bazaar southside. But it's all taken out now.

Something I was told, but I don't know if they were screwing with me, to make me 'cling to life' longer as I died.
But I heard there is a secret way to the pit from the rinth, so you can loot the dead, or even save someone, if people leave before the guy bleeds out.
