A pretty big part of the game takes part outside of cities. A pretty big part of being successful outside the city is mounts; You can't run as far, or as fast, on foot, excepting maybe delves. A big part of surviving anywhere, for at least three guilds, is stealth.
What are some mounts that can hide and sneak? Do they borrow the rider's hide/sneak skill, or use their own?
Also, while I'm at it- My assassin hasn't been able to raise hunt since branching it. What counts as a fail for that? What are good ways to generate fails? Same for foraging. It has not gone up once, in nearly 10 days played.
Where does one even acquire stealth+ gear? What about cooking+ items (I think there's a frying pan, maybe some other stuff?)?

Both forage and hunt are easy to practice. If you hunt and do not notice tracks that you know for a fact must be there (your own for example), then you've failed. Every time you fail to notice a track, you got a failure. City, or wilderness, doesnt matter. So just hunt every other hour until you notice no tracks and you're good. Same with forage. Forage until you find nothing and you've got your failure. Just be mindful that spamming failures will not help you. There is a timer that prevents you from raising your skill continuously. Give it an hour or thereabouts between failures and you'll be fine.
While you can make your mounts sneak and some creatures are better at it then others, there is no such thing as a reliable mount stealth. If you're mounted and not magickally invisible, consider yourself visible. Even if you are making your mount sneak.
You buy stealth gear? You loot it from corpses? You craft it? It is more or less intuitive what is stealth gear as you can figure it out from sdesc. Desert camouflage obviously is one. There is a number of objects that are stealth gear, but are not obviously so. And there are objects that should be stealth gear from their mdesc, but arent really.
There are cooking tools, frying pans included. You can craft it, or buy it from shops, or merchants. If you assess it, it might hint that it is useful for cooking. You have to hold the item for it to help you.

I guess the best bet is to just find a PC crafter.

Inky-black leathers sold by Salarr are stealth. Desert camouflage is stealth. Horror-tentacles stuff is stealth. Footpads is stealth. Earthy leathers are stealth. Guild's veiny stuff is stealth. The rinthi cloak is stealth. About 65% of most gear that say that it would quiet ones movement, or meld into the background is stealth. This is just off the top of my head. I'm sure someone's got a list somewhere.
Earthy stuff is craftable by anyone with leather working/armor crafting. Inky-black are Salarri only. Desert Camouflage is Kuraci only. Veiny is Guild stuff. I do not know the source of tentacle stuff. I think it was made by one of the houses that Kurac absorbed. It shows up occasionally. I think there's something sold in Luirs Outpost, and some in other places.

Ok, cool. Shame there's no real way to see how much the boost is, but that helps a lot.
