I don't bother logging until I decide to play somewhere long term. I don't have a log, so it's just a he said she said. The people who like it there will play there, and those who don't, won't.

lol. I like how you group it into a black/white category. I've never played a game and said wow I really like this. I like certain things, I hate certain things, I love certain things, I absolutely abhor certain things. One reason I enjoy MUDs is I can give direct feedback to the people designing/developing the game. I tend to have a lot of feedback about stuff because I like to be thoughtful about my experience at a game. I hate plenty of things about Esos if you actually read their forums you'd see that I have started plenty of discussions about my concerns already.
Difference is I made an effort to make their game better by providing the feedback whereas you apparently have rage quit over a pk.

Too bad you're too busy whiteknighting armageddon gdb style to notice. The staff actually implemented things I asked about.

There are a lot of positive about the game. I think the staff are generally fair, and do stuff. They respond to criticisms of their code by fixing it instead of bashing you. I generally like the code. I like how you can branch stuff (without having to play unrealistically). It seems they are letting some people do stuff. Really seems like it has a lot of potential. Yeah completely black and white. I think you're lumping me into black and white categories because you don't like my opinion. No like my opinion, bad. It's funny how people on here despise the staff shills on the regular armageddon gdb but behave exactly the same way here. The oldie but goodie: "Be the change."

If you're going to say "people", name names. I don't want to be compared to the likes of Nyr, Adhira, RogueGunSlinger and Reiloth (not jizz slinger mind you), thank you very much.

It's funny how people on here despise the staff shills on the regular armageddon gdb but behave exactly the same way here. The oldie but goodie: "Be the change." so if I am reading this correctly... delerak: Yuo should provide seoe feedback. Their staff listens. nyrsucks: I did that and they actually listened. therefor this is identical to Arm's imms telling people on the gdb to just be the change because they refuse to respond to player feedback. And people here are just like the gdb because [logic not found].
it might be that Im stupid, but I'm not seeing the hypocrite connection youre hoping to handwave his argument with here. How is it hypocritical for them to tell you to give feedback to a responsive staff, while mocking Arm's staff for telling people to stop giving feedback and be the change themselves? Arent those things complete fucking opposites? I mean every single aspect of them is inverted so i am pretty sure "opposites" is a good word to use. hold my hand here. i'm clearly an idiot for not seeing the parallel.

First of all you mangled those posts together for some reason and the way you cobbled it all together is confusing So if you are reading that crap you mangled together correctly.. then kudos. However, I am responding to his bolded claims. He claims I am seeing it as so black and white. I respond with something i said earlier that is positive. He is saying look at him, he's great because didn't just complain and quit. I responded to that by saying that I did in fact try and succeed to make some change The underlined part I just didn't want to make a whole new post for. It's not a mathematical proof. It's a stand alone opinion on this whole thread once I was foolish enough to criticize something that some people like. It's my fault as a player because I didn't do enough apparantly. I wasn't the change. Sounds an awful lot like the same crap you hear on the gdb. In this scenario, I will be playing the role of someone foolish enough to criticize staff's position on the armageddon gdb. Delerak will be playing RogueGunSlinger and Anaiah will be playing the role of Reiloth.

nyrsucks: That comparison flew straight the fuck over my head. I've never been on staff there, I've only played about 7 months, on and off, over the course of a few years, they didn't even get me able to really get into a pc until two months ago when humans opened. I disagree with you so now I'm Reiloth? Is it because I am giving people the benefit of the doubt and relating a totally different experience than the one that you are claiming to have (which... pretty much no one else can understand either, from what I'm getting out of this thread so far). Is it because I'm trying to believe the best about people and you keep disagreeing, but refusing any sort of proof, making allegations that no one can confirm (even yourself with logs), and then resorting to trying to say that I am in fact being the very person that drove me here to these forums? The comparison still doesn't stand, because I haven't mocked you, censored you, or called you names. I would love to know what you even mean to make such a comparison that, in my eyes at least, does not on any level hold up.

You're just totally discounting my view in the exact way the arm gdb shills do. I don't agree with your opinion so you all who are having a great experience ganged up on me as if I did something wrong. I have my own damn opinion. You can circle jerk all you want but if this thread was on the gdb those are the roles you are playing. I gave my opinion and stopped playing based on my experience. Me and three others so you can keep thinking I was the only one. I am the only one with an accounr here.

Me and three others so you can keep thinking I was the only one. I am the only one with an accounr here. Was it the part where I acknowledged multiple times you might be having a different experience that you're drawing this from? I don't disbelieve you, I just can't wrap my head around the idea that you and I are even playing the same game, let alone in the same city, with such hugely different experiences of things. Your example, if it's the one I'm thinking about which was, I know for a fact, a case of mistaken identity, Was it my asking you questions about your experience? I've not seen that once with the exception of a single problem character, and that was addressed. ... I'm not sure what you mean by 'player culture', the culture of the people playing? The IC culture of the settlement? What? Or was it my saying that I've very recently had a pc who was in the position to intimately know who was murdering and breaking laws and that your position that it's a pkmud is wrong? Yeah, my last pc was in the Grey Company, and there was a total of 1 person doing anything like that, Because I don't see anything like brushing you off out of hand in the varied responses. In fact, what I see, and have seen, is an assertion that the game is full of wild pk all the time, and that even though you have no logs of it, you totally have friends who feel the same way, but just coincidentally, they don't have an account here, but you're totally spot on, and because I disagree with you I'm... what? Shilling? Disagreeing? Insulting you somehow?

First of all you mangled those posts together for some reason and the way you cobbled it all together is confusing So if you are reading that crap you mangled together correctly.. then kudos. You made a post quoting del. Then you made a post right after it where you quoted yourself, and responded to your self in response to something del said in your first post. if you cant organize your thoughts in a coherent way then the failure to communicate was yours. My attempt to reassemble your scatterbraind response was not an attempt to muddle anything. The underlined part I just didn't want to make a whole new post for. It's not a mathematical proof. It's a stand alone opinion on this whole thread once I was foolish enough to criticize something that some people like. It's my fault as a player because I didn't do enough apparantly. I wasn't the change. Sounds an awful lot like the same crap you hear on the gdb. and this is just dodging. You equivocated del saying you should have given the SEOE staff feedback so they could fix their game to the Arm staff telling players to stop giving them feedback and just fix things themselves. no amount of abstraction is going to make those inverse scenarios be the same thing.
