Namely: it's commonly gossiped about that going for a random stat distribution gives some sort of bonus to stat rolls. Does this hold any water, or are X-D & co full of shit?

Anecdotally I've seen this to be true. However I've never been aspergers enough to find out through testing.

I've found that prioritizing 3 stats results in the best rolls on average. That said, it could well be that they've had lucky rolls, and my evidence is anecdotal. You don't get special negatives or bonuses just because of the way you prioritize. I've seen hundreds of pcs stats be rolled for the first time and the only way prioritizing even factors in (codedly) is that it picks the highest rolls and puts them in the places that you tell it to when creating the character. It may be that the reason it -seems- like they are better, is because it defaults to the highest being in the most relevant stat to the guild, next highest to the next and so on, and just lets the actual numbers in them be what they may. Which can result in more 'poor' stats AS WELL as more AI's. Just a thought.

While we're on the topic of stats, I read on this board that the skill gain timer is 60 minutes - wisdom... does anyone have any idea about the numbers involved in stats? Like does it range from 1 to 10? 1 to 20? 10 to 20? More? Less? Probably not something that people know I guess.. I've been going off the assumption that every 60 minutes I can get another skill gain to be safe.

Agility (or lack of agility) has a large effect on most (if not all) physical abilities.

Also... Random stats are no better than ordered stats, other than they are random. Rolling random stats is just more "metal" than going with ordered stats.

How does age affect stats? Say I make a 13-20 year old, how are the stats distributed and what negatives are applied?

-1 endurance, -1 strength (maybe -2, it's been a while since I've seen a new character roll), -2 wisdom, 0 agility
that's what the penalties are for starting young.
