Politeness, humility, and tact. Those three will help you avoid a 'lot' of taints, arrows, and general havoc aimed at you every occasional, possibly very frequent, while.

Sure you can prevent it from taking hold though. If you take something prior to getting hit by it, it would be rendered useless against the person who took the anti-toxin (for lack of a better word).

IIRC: Red = blood burn Small yellow = grishen Grainy yellow = skellebaine (It's not instant anymore, so don't freak out when it doesn't fix you up instant like) green = Terradin (It skellebains you though, take green, then grainy quickly after or you will suffer it) black = makes you sleep, not sure if it actually cures anything. grey = cures the plague (from rinth rats) purple = salt worm spray, ie. firebreather blue = I believe this is taken before heramide kicks in and knocks you unconscious and prevents it. The purple or blue (not sure which) Also will give you skellebaine if you take it.

This is really one of those things that should be stickied-- with it being such a commonly asked question and all.

Source or I call bullshit. In all my years of playing I've never come across an anti venom for peraine. People speculated and rumors flew about as to what it could be, but in all seriousness the only cure for peraine is time. Stop spreading misinformation or name the pill that protects the consumer against the poison.

The source of the rumor about a tablet that prevents peraine comes from the time when a person could be afflicted by only 'one' poison. Supposedly anyway. So people would intentionally skellebane themselves, thinking it will protect them from any other poison.

Try some spice, Aggros I believe is the lichen/moss that I've used to prevent it. Unless it was broken and not supposed to work. Tested it several times on a long dead char couple years back.

There's actually an elkrosian spell that is supposed to make a person pretty much immune to perraine, but that is hearsay from multiple people to me. I have never personally confirmed this.

Energy shield from my experience made my mages immune to wezer at least, not sure it it works for other weapons/thrown projectiles.
Are you referring to regenerate? It could...but I never tested that theory on any of my elkrosians.

I'm not sure, as I don't know what kind of poison wezers use. If they use perraine, then that's the one. But there are definitely magicks that an elkrosian can use, as I've heard people bitch about that before in d-elf clans. I believe insomnia (or the one that makes it where you can't sleep) more or less cancels the poison that makes you fall asleep as well, or used to. I've never really played an elkrosian personally. They have interesting RP possibilities, but their magick is mostly weapon spells, and with the long standing moratorium on making permanent magick weapons as a gemmed, it resulted in a total lack of interest on my part.

They have interesting RP possibilities, but their magick is mostly weapon spells... This is patently false. The guild is 100% self sustainable. Refresh three times at sul now and then and you will NEVER have to eat or drink anything ever again. Regenerate and energy shield keep you alive, and quicken gets your ass out of danger. Elkrosian is the best magicker class outside of Whiran, hands down. Edited to add: Yes, wezer inject peraine.

That was an exaggeration, but what I mean to say is: most of their magick is combat based. Yes, there is A SPELL that refreshes your stamina and hunger. But since I tend to avoid combat, even with npcs, a large majority of the time, it becomes pointless and redundant. And honestly? Give me a whiran any day, since my favorite thing about them is wandering about the wilderness without a need for combat.
