slipshod: The point is, 13 is a teenager, even by today's first-world, modern standards. Historically, people have been looked at as an adult around adolescence for the greater part of mankind's history. It is only today that we look at '18' as a magickal age where you are suddenly 'mature'.
I had sex for the first time at 14 years old, most of the people I know did. While I think that the 'lolita' characters are in poor taste, that is bad roleplay on the part of people playing them and roleplay that misrepresents the realities not only of the game world, but of the vast part of the real world as well. I would argue that if people were properly roleplaying adolescents, not children, then this would not exist as an issue.
Further, sexual attraction to teenagers is ephebophilia, not pedophilia, and in some states in the United States even currently, the age for sexual consent is 14.
I can appreciate the arguments for/against rape in general, but as there are no -child- pcs (regardless of what the players may misrepresent reality as), child rape is something that does not exist in game. And further, and time I've had a stable, realistically played 14 year old pc roll up on one of the 'child' characters, they've always given them a load of crap for being slow, and stupid.
