How good is the magickal armor of different elementalists. They all seem to do different things.
Sanctuary at high levels reduces damage greatly (magick too maybe?) and can be cast on others. stone skin is amazing against physical damage Fire armor absorbs fire attacks and attacks attacker
the rest?
How good is fire armor, wind armor, armor of darkness against attacks? Basically what I'm asking is how good is the defenses of other mages. Water and stone elementalists seem to have solid defensive spells, what about the others mages what sort of protection do they have against getting ganked?

Santuary completely absorbs all damage from the first blow only I thought. Then it falls down from it. Or maybe it's a couple blows or has a certain number it reaches of damage poitns dealt before it falls. Not really sure man.

God I loved energy shield. Though the wearer still takes damage, the damage incurred rebounds in an arc and damages the attacker. It may even be compounded, but it's been so long I can't remember anymore.
This is how the mighty Sujaal got smoked. =P
The best is probably wind armor though. I used it to great effect against Quick and Gin. Specifically, IIRC it can knock back, i.e. repel opponents and can even intercept thrown/shot items. Same goes for fire armor, but again it's been more than a couple years now.

my best pc had a friend that would cast magic armor ((ruk one))
not sure what it was called but thorns slid off and kryl groups could do no damage at all
magic makes the game a lot more fun // interesting but i got yelled at from some anon staff that i was playing poorly for being friends with a witch. i dont get it how is it fun for anyone if elves and humans and magickers and everyone is out there but its poor play for anyone to interact with each other that isnt just pkilling ?
i was friends with a char in game that was married or something to one and got recruited to their gang. i died doing something stupid but i liked playing with them even though i expected to get yelled at again lol
sorry for going off subject many parts of the game frustrates me
the armor gave the description of sand forming around my body or something like that and was really good

Sanctuary reduces damage by quite abit. I would guess approx. 50% Though I do not know for certain.
Invulnerability is the one you are thinking of that blocks one blow.
Armor seems to reduce the amount you are hit. (Probably +defense) Stone skin reduces damage like armor.
Fire armor seems (I tested this quite a bit but am still not entirely certain) to do a set amount of damage depending upon level to the attacker as well as reducing the amount of damage they do by a lot.
Lightning shield on the other hand seems to reciprocate the damage you take exactly to the attacker.

I say this partially in that fire armor always seemed to do about the same amount of damage, whereas lightning shield would have its damaged lower dramatically when I put on serious armor.

Damn how good is that +armor it gives? Because by the looks of it mages aren't designed to take on more then one person even when prepared, well maybe stone mages since i hear they can take on mekillots with stoneskin? Water mages with shield of mist and everything else that is always healing them. I guess the others rely on being able to kill in one spell or otherwise would need elementals to bash and/or rescue?
Again from the sounds of it two half decent warriors who land bash once might be enough to win against a prepared mage.

It has taken several, not two nor three, but rather groups of people to take down one prepared elementalist.

How long would you have been able to survive without you putting a stop to it, either through chain-lighting or something else to stop them from killing you?

Can't say a lot about it. But I know of at least two seperate occassions where the 'witch hunt' for one witch required several peoeple (around 5 or more) and even then half of the group died. Of course it could have been an RPT and it was plotted in this way to make witches scarier.
Also I wouldn't consider Drov as weak. But that's just me.
