If you were to compare say, a human with average strength to that of a dwarf would the stumps be good? Very good? What about the rest compared to other races? Would muls and hgs have some ungodly comparison to their strength over humans? Also does the score differ between delves and celves? Does anyone know of this comparison for any of the non-playable races like gith, mantis, and the apparently flooded out halflings?

It has always been my understanding that the items you are talking about, str, agi, wis, and con are always and only rated among the same race. So if you have a BA str, the majority of the human population would have better strength than you.

I'll base everything off human this is just from my own personal experience.
human stats str- 18 (absolutely incredible) agi- 18 wis- 18 end- 18
for dwarves with max stats str-22 agi-16 wis-14 end-22
for muls with max str- 26 agi- 18 wis- 18 end- 22
for half-giants str- 30 agi- 10 wis- 6 end- 30
for d-elves (d-elves have better stats than c-elves regardless of what they tell us I think) str- 16 agi- 20-22(?) wis- 22 end- 18
each number corresponds racially to their word. so for human 18 is AI. 16-17 exceptional, 14-15 - extremely good, 12-13 - very good, 10-11 good, above av 8-9, av 7, below v 6 and below 5 is poor. Of course this could all be very much wrong.

I fucking knew d-elves had way higher stats than c-elves. Unbelievable. Man I was WAY off with my estimates too.
Also why the hell are half-giants so damn strong? +35 seriously? So a half-giant is stronger than a full giant in 1998. Meh. I hope that has changed.

The dwarf wisdom seems wrong. That makes no sense either. Actually to be honest dwarves seem over powered as fuck when looking at these numbers. The agility/wisdom should be much lower.

So a half-giant is stronger than a full giant in 1998. Meh. I hope that has changed. Ya, I know that much has changed for certain. At least after getting hit by a half-giant vs getting hit by an ankheg. Silt Giants might be the same though, seeing as they've damn near forgotten that part of the world entirely.

You wouldn't happen to have numbers on how guilds and age and height/weight effects stats, do you?
At the very least if they're flat changes or dice-roll changes?
::Edited to add::
Also, burning curiosity.
You got ghouls and vamps?

Fascinating. So according to this the notion of "racial strength/stat tiers" perpetuated by mansa in his little nooblet guide is pure bs?

Hi,
Do you know the value that spice raises stats by? Also do you know if your stats whether through spells and/or spice can go beyond racial limit?
On a side note, anyone know how many times you can smoke spice before negative effects kick in?

Spice usually brings it up by one verbal increase. If str is good it goes to very good so I'm assuming this is a +1 or possibly +2 increase, but probably +1. Spice cannot increase it over the racial max I am fairly certain, so smoking strength spice when you have ai strength is kind of pointless. Magick will increase over racial max.
You have to smoke and or sniff a shit ton of spice to die from it like maybe 30+ sniffs will kill you. You need to smoke a lot more than sniffing, sniffing is the worst I think. As far as negative effects, always remember that you have to com back down from your high. So if you smoke your strength from good to very good and then wait it will just return back to normal after that single sniff/smoke wears off. If you go higher than that so say you sniff 2 pinches and go to extremely good, you will come back down to good or possibly go down above average. If you smoke it up to exceptinal or AI you definitely will incur negative points for a while on that stat. If I have good strength and smoke to AI, when I come back down from the spice I can exepct to be at poor strength for quite a while until I recover and go back to good.

I had -no- idea that spice effects were stackable like that, of the same spice anyway.
Thanks!!

Spice is awesome if used right. For instance if you're in an RPT and really don't want to do just sniff a shit load of war spice and strength/agility/endurance spices hah.

I don't see anywhere that height/weight would affect stats. what about age ? why do young characters get bad stats all the time ? i never get worse stats than with a 13 -> 15 year old character assassins also seem to get bad rolls for me and ive never had one that didnt get at least two BA or below stats no matter age/ i made a young ((14)) human assassin and got BA/G/P/P does race effect vitals? my breeds never get more than 98 health even with exception end but my elves get 110 with ave end why do magick characters get incredible stats ? my water one had two AI and my stone one had three AI

Younger age = Crappier wisdom, crappier endurance, and crappier strength, but buffed agility.
You can almost expect AI agility on a 13-year-old warrior (which really, that, coupled with below-average strength, is surprisingly scary once skilled up a little)
Older age = Crappier agility, endurance, and strength, but buffed wisdom.
Choosing ~22 to ~34 will more often than not land you workable stats.

Half-elves have the worst endurance I've ever seen. Same for city elves but to me so far it seems half-elves are even worse. D-elves get massive endurance boosts for some reason. Supposedly the same race my ass, I've had d-elves with 130 hp, not even poss. on a city elf.
