The best thing players can do to change things is NOT play in Tuluk. Just do Red storm, Luirs (if you have to), and Allanak. Force them to change it because the pbase demands it. They close down clans that aren't active so don't make them active. The more players 'Nak gets the better especially with the current IC situation.

For as long as I've played Arm (I remember Ysania hanging out in the Gaj when I was a newb), players have begged for Allanak's ecosystem to actually be fleshed out so that indies could survive and an economy could be built up for hunters and indie merchants. Instead they were handed poop sweeping, salt gathering, and obsidian mining. Steps in the right direction overall for the game, but it still misses the actual point of what players want.

I will correct you. You can totally play a hunter in the south. It's called joining the Byn for a year before you go out to hunt.

Not to mention the north gets all those nice high agility critters Jozhal. Drov beetles. Certain types of scrabs have way higher agility (dark shelled). Raptors have high agility as well.

Not anywhere near the type of agility verrin hawks, stilt lizards, and turaal have. But none of that is important really. Personally, I 'like' that Allanak beasts are tougher. Prevents the predominance of indies like it is in Tuluk.

It doesn't matter.. I've maxxed plenty of characters that NEVER left the south. If you want indie just suck it up and do it and survive. Don't be stupid and go train with an org. for a little while before leaving. You can join any clan and train and then leave. Granted you might piss some ppl off but you def. can do it with the merch houses.

One complaint I have about the game in general is that there is a tendency to destroy content (because that is easy), as opposed to building new content (because this takes a lot of time/work/effort, which is a thankless job when building for people who play a game that tends to make people selfish jerks, present company excluded :-).
I haven't seen the Hunter's Paradise but I wish it wasn't being changed. Tuluk has plenty of space for new things. I do believe it was designed to be filled in as time went on. Granted I also miss the old Northlands with rebels and playing there seemed like it was a wild west frontier town. It'd be nice if more things were preserved and not changed, while other things were added. While this is kind of a tangent and sometimes there isn't room (in Allanak for example) for new things to be added. One thing I miss is the old Northlands Observatory that was at one time preserved when the Dasari Estate was built around it, but then it was "remolded" and is now gone. There's a lot of lore and history in this game that I know gets lost simply because it isn't recorded or it gets overwritten or replaced and no or little thought is given to it.
I'll save the whole "design problems that Tuluk poses to the game world as a whole" for some other thread.

How about playing a damn tribal instead? I swear it's like no one thinks of this option. Seik, Arabet, Soh and Sun Runners are fun, and the more people that play them, the more fun they are. Most give you the ability to go anywhere, hunt anywhere, and interact with whoever you want.
