I honestly have never met/talked with another Arm player who I could honestly say that guy/girl is straight up mentally stable. Y'all fucking insane, yo. very apt I dont believe in-depth roleplaying is attractive to most healthy people. The biggest draw of it is escapism; why would a sane person want to escape their life? For others theres the appeal of being able to do things you can't do in real life, almost all of which involves some form of crime. Exploring strange lands and dealing with the risk of being torn apart by horrific monsters. experiencing a claustrophobc world where an insane computer AI you can't live without gives you conflicting orders you'll be killed for obeying or disobeying. Vigilante justice or pursing an ascenton to godhood. Or maybe just eating people because you hate them. These are not the urges normal people feel the need to indulge in. I worry sometimes that these kinds of roles are leaving Zalanthas, being replaced by mundane political posturing like something out of feudal Italy. |

Also don't lump me in with you weirdos. Normal is subjective. We were all looking for a pastime when we found mudding/Arm and found a cool place to play that was unique. I had played plenty of MUDs before Arm, probably half a dozen and they were all very similar, very stale. When I found Arm I knew it was different. There's a massive thread on RPIs at Topmudsites that I started and compiled a huge list of features that qualifies a mud to be RPI, it's kind of daunting.
Anyway the point is that we were all just looking for something to kill time and Arm was a great way to be the bard of your own existence. Same goes for any good book or movie.

If mudsexing, or cybersexing is a crime, (I don't think it is) then romance novels should be a crime. It's not my fault that an anonymous person reading what I wrote decided it was sexual harassment. If you don't say anything that's your problem not mine.

Which is why you should just have people agree to an age/waiver to avoid all the bullshit. Even consent is dumb. I always wanted to have each account have a Y/N agreement that you are agreeing legally you were 18 so I had no issues with consent, rape, or whatever I wanted the most brutally realistic world I could get my hands on.

True that, Malken. There was actually sorta this controversy thing when my character, Cidsarl, was banging Pearl for a long time. I mean, I was 17 I think, but she freaked out when she found out I was a minor and stuff. So I was like, look, it's not like I'm just a kid or something, and I send her a picture of me in my prom suit, which just makes her go to pieces even more because it accomplished the opposite of what I had intended. Also her bad, players of Armageddon should know that when they start mudsexing someone, they risk mudsexing someone that can be anyone from a borderline-genius-like IQ (ANIAH STEPS FORWARD) kid of 10 or a grandpa that just pooped his pants IRL playing that super desc'ed Fme girl of your virtual dreams. Unless you can start flashing your driver's license to one another when you ask for OOC consent, you shouldn't be surprised that the person's wee wee you've just stuffed in your butt is played by someone's teen child. |

I honestly was never one for Type fucking, I actually lack the patience the skill in typing.
Like no one wants to wait for you to look up thesaurus entries to find 10 different words for cock, vagina, and breasts.
And medical terms like "phallus" and "mammary" I guess are mood killers.

I don't generally play pcs who enjoy fooling around casually, but yes, if they are involved with someone, I do like to act out them fooling around the first time to get a gauge of technique/chemistry/dynamic, and periodically afterward, but more often than not, a FtB can cover it just as well for the rest of the time. Denying playing a pc that has sex is something I don't get. Unless your pcs are typically asexual or don't wind up involved with anyone romantically. Is it an OOC shame thing? |
