It has been long enough now that I'm pretty sure I can consider these "final numbers".
I like numbers and stats, so here are some numbers and stats related to me being banned from the GDB.
I received 14 emails or private messages from individual current players letting me know that they felt bad I was banned and that they felt what happened to me was "wrong".
I received 4 emails or messages from individual CURRENT staffers letting me know that they do not agree with what happened to me but are unable to/aren't in a position to oppose said decision. I agree with them. (All staff are not bad people, as you can see. No I will not be publicly stating which staffers these were. They can say what they wish to say publicly or not. Thank you though for your messages/words of encouragement.)
I received 3 emails or messages from individual past staffers (all of whom left of their own accord and are still in good standing actually) letting me know that they do not agree with what happened to me and sympathize with my situation.
Thanks to everyone for their kind words.
I've been around a very long time and I've made a lot of friends in this community. I'm not going anywhere and will continue to contribute to and enjoy the game just as I always have no matter who is in charge now or in the future. Staff come and go just like players and I'm sure in the future the right individuals will find their way into positions of authority and errors will be corrected, or not. Either way, thanks again to everyone who felt the need to reach out to me, it is very appreciated.

Permanent ban. Eh, well, I stopped posting here to appease them. I suppose I'm not even mad. My favorite players seem to be leaving. It makes me sad because I feel it's not good for the game... but, I'm just done arguing with them. Going to play some Sindrome I suppose.

Eh, na, I'm not going through the trouble, only reason I did before was I felt something might be salvaged by doing so. We all know they're a bunch of cucks, it's not like laying it out there for the millionth time is going to stop them from screwing eachother entirely.

Feel free to copy paste Nergal's greatest hits though, you know, the ones that do nine-million damage and destroy plots recklessly to promote the virtual environment while utterly driving home to players that there's nothing you can do about it.

Just thinking of raided stuff...
I had the opportunity to play in the Black Moon. It was a really well-done clans, thanks to LoD and a core of veteran players. The fact that Naatok was the imm at the time made it even better because he was the type of staff member who facilitated stuff. Or maybe with the way that the upper administration was at the time, it made the Bushman-era Black Moon a way more feasible thing.
Something like that wouldn't really be possible right now.
Some of the reasons that the Black Moon was able to be so successful:
1. Ultra secret headquarters reachable only by whistling, which lowered a platform to take you up to a network of caves way up in the cliffs of the Red Desert.
2. OOC recruiting. Most of the PCs in the Black Moon entered the game as Black Moon Raiders. It wasn't something that many people joined ICly, but, having said that, Bushman really did a good job at recruiting spies in the cities.
He recruited a merchant of mine once by setting quartz arrowheads pointing in directions leading away from the gates. Following them, I was met by those dudes in the black leather and sand cloth veils. Heh.
3. "Who c." Nuff said.
4. A dedicated, creative, and open-minded clan imm.
5. Extremely strong PC leadership at times. Mainly talking about LoD, here.
Eventually the Black Moon was wiped out in large part due to by ender'a Byn sergeant that infiltrated the clan. Who had at least the psionicist skill probe - can't recall if there were more. Hmm. Probably was a staff designed thing to destroy the Black Moon, a clan that at its peak and end had a lot of old school vets playing warriors and rangers... it was dangerous to go on the roads at that time in the game, even with a wagon or Byn escort. After all, they kidnapped Eldor'a Byn sergeant and made him wear a dress, which was hilarious.
As great of of an experience as that was to have been a part of with at least three characters, it would be exceedingly hard to replicate after the damage that was done, the precedents that were set, and the par-for-the-courses that we have from the Reign of Nyr. I don't think many people would argue against that.

Hah, I only ever had one interaction with Blackmoon during that era. I was playing a lot of loner desert elves at the time. I once ran up on a group of them at the base of the cliffs where they whistled and their platform came down. At the exact moment I walked in they whistled and their platform came down. Of course they took off after me because I had just accidentally discovered their hideout and how to get into it.
At the time I didn't realize what I had discovered though. I just ran away and never really thought of it again until years later heh.
