Play this game like you're supposed to, work hard and do everything right, and then the imms change, the new ones decide they don't like you, so they block you from doing really anything or playing anything much beyond mundane classes.
Play this game long enough, and they will just change the rules on you or decide, in contrast with the imms who came before them, that they think you suck, so fuck you, have fun being totally marginalized and unable to play what you once could play.
That's been my ArmageddonMUD experience with Nyr. New imm comes along, changes everything completely, walks away leaving a big mess, having been wrong and an asshole through the majority of his time as an imm.
Made producer not because of talent or the ability to actually produce the game correctly, but out of a de facto rise to power for having slavishly committed himself to doing the busy work and mundane shit that other people should have not so fully entrusted him with, because it made them beholden to him, securing his shot at being a producer.
Play this game long enough and you'll have to deal with the same bullshit unless people like adhira and nessalin learn their lesson, which I don't think they will, I think they probably wish they still had nyr around despite the fact that he shat on so much of this game for so many people.

And all it takes is one or two experiences with staff to really make a player defensive.
You do everything you're supposed to, make stupid mistake or two, and imms who never saw any of the good you did - or who DID see it but were maybe resentful of never having been able to do it themselves - suddenly remove one of the only tangible rewards given on Arm, karma.
It is just bullshit. You can't tell me it isn't. But only people who have played long enough and who CARE to keep playing can point out things like that.
Even if you've been playing five years, you don't really have the perspective to realize shit like that. And how many people staffing the game right now have played for less than five years?
These sorta concerns are not immediate problems for newbies, but for anyone who plans on playing Arm for any considerable amount of time, this is stuff you SHOULD think about because it COULD happen to you. Even if you're a maxed karma player.

I think it was about when rape plots were banned, fuck you, my marty stue character wants some, he's going to get some. Truth be told, my stepdad handed me some literature when I was younger, in order to demonstrate that women, too, are capable of rape, it was one steamy scene, the weak fellow being held down and, erm, prodded into submission by the woman, but it wouldn't be considered rape under the current staff's viewpoint. Then he was like, hand that back, I want to read it again.

This place has become too weird and unappealing. Maybe there's not enough to talk about now that Nyr is gone or something, I dunno, but this forum has become off-putting and shitty in the last months. Only the crazies post anymore. It's been fun, and I think we accomplished something, but I'm off.

It's an entire community that only exists because it is focused around individuals who believe strongly enough that they were wronged in an online community to want to rage about it in another online community.
Sure, not every single person who comes here has to be one of "the crazies".
But let's not get ahead of ourselves here.
This place has been predominantly overran with "the crazies" since its creation.
There are arguably less "crazies" here now than there ever has been.....especially in its first few years.

No it's always had it side of crazy but it also served a wonderful resource and sharing of knowledge that use to be keep from the "uninitiated" or those with out the require aim buddy connections.
Just now, there's nothing left to share, so the shit posting that always been here as risen to the top.
Though the shit posting use to be funnier, Grumble just shit posts, lacks quality even for a shit post.
