Yeah, and he later coded for Atonement.

Standing ovation on your post on the GDB, Kryos. It's what I've been saying for a while. If the game is, indeed, keeping new players at the rate claimed, it is HEMORRHAGING older and veteran players. And for many of the reasons you stated. Usually I don't post direct responses to specific posts from the GDB but when I do... it's because they are so spot on I can't help but want to agree somewhere others can see it.

the bump referred to is probably due to Atonement shutting down and Parallel RPI never really recovering. I would guess any RPI that comes along that is even only as "bad" or slightly less so would see their long-term pattern trending back down at an even more alarming rate.

Because the raw shell can be made into many different things and used for different things, it's far more useful that way. The greaves are just finished armor. You can't do anything with them but wear them. They are worth the same as any other heavy shell leg armor. This is the most retarded thing I've read all day.

I take this as a compliment. Also do you think that the value of raw goods increases or decreases once it is made into a product? Economics is cool.

Some metals and bits of plastic are worth more than my laptop is, a piece of leather is worth more than a shoulder bag, and firewood is more expensive than chairs. Of course.

In a real economy, products that sell for less than the material cost just wouldn't get made. So they'd become scarce and the price would rise to the point where it became worth making them.

In real world of assembly lines and Mall shopping, sure.
In other world. A person needs boots and uses up a perfectly good length of leather to make boots for himself. Yes, he could've used that very piece of leather to make himself a jacket, which would be more valuable and he'll be discarding less scraps of leather doing it. But he already has a jacket, what he needs is boots.
Things change, when manufacturing is an organized business, instead of a single person. Then big pieces can go for making sizeable objects, and scraps from that can go on smaller objects, everything regulated and material is wasted as little as possible. Well ... that's GMH for you.

RGS has to be the most degenerate boot licker in the history of the GDB.

Seconded. I've never minded the guy, as far as I recall. I don't believe I've ever (knowingly) played with him, but as far as I know he's always seemed like one of the better GDB personalities.
