That said, again I don't feel Nyr is completely to blame here for his behavior. He has been allowed if not encouraged to behave the way he does by other senior staff members. Some of those staff members who might not act any differently than Nyr if they were forced to do it. I don't mean to imply that Nyr's being 'blamed' for anything, at least from my part. He's like that with all but a handful of people. It's just how he communicates in many cases. At times, how hard he works even reminds me of the guy with the glasses from the 'Make Love, Not Warcraft' south park episode because he's all up in/around some Arm, and fairly constantly. I was merely intending to make an observation. Relating to the topic at hand... I actually don't have anything to post that's on topic... but I felt I needed to clarify there. |

I'm sorry guys, but I dont know. I bet Nyr also feels very good of himself when he bans someone from the GDB. Probably feels justified, on occasion he is. On occasion, he is not. Too much praise over something that's basically just a ban. Let them troll, who cares. IMHO anyway.

I think the big difference though is that Nyr is banning people who aren't explicitly trolling. Of course if Nyr bans a troll on the zalanthas forums it is not that big of a deal to myself or anybody here. But the bannings at Arm aren't exactly constrained to that, the bannings that Arm dishes out are wide and far reaching. It kind of reminds me of chemical weapons in Syria, they just shoot the shit off and if fucks over a bunch of kids, ah well collateral damage.

I had a spiel typed out but thought it'd be best if I just avoided discussing Nyr at all costs, because let's face it: Nyr gonna Nyr. I'm not against masking your IP or using a proxy, but I do seem to remember staff (possibly the fat cow Adhira) mentioning that if they found out you were doing so they'd immediately ban you. Just a fair warning and all. |

I was just meaning to say I personally don't just blame Nyr, I blame everyone equally.  |

He's not banned under his bobo account, but his other two are. he can continue actually contributing if he wants to, but otherwise I'm just going to ban again if he wants to keep stirring up more shit. I don't think it should really come as a surprise; when most of your posting revolves around disrupting threads to tell people they're pathetic and declaring they're douchebags and butthurt to try to pick an internet slapfight wtf do you expect is going to happen? You can't really play dumb and act like it's come out of left field or be outraged, especially when you're a mid twenties grad student for christ's sake. You know how to act, and you know when you're deliberately trying to push someone's buttons.
Bans really aren't that big of a deal here though. I don't go looking for the two people who are banned and I don't really care to. There's nothing stopping someone from reregging under a new name and posting. I'm not running a gulag here, if you figured out how to stop posting like an ass and want to post again then go for it. The only way I'm going to ever know that you were the same guy who had a hissy fit two months ago is if you keep repeating throwing hissy fits.
