So...you are just here to troll? Are you staff or player who wishes they were staff? If you define trolling as pointing out that people on this forum claim to hate the game and the staff who banned them, yet secretly use proxies to play the game on new accounts, then yes, I am the biggest troll ever. Most sane people would consider that "pointing out hypocrisy", though. Seriously, dude, whatever you're on is making you paranoid. I define trolling as your shit posts and dumb white-knighting while hiding behind Tor nodes and disposable e-mail services so I banned you. you had the benefit of a doubt on the first one, and when you weren't able to get the fight you wanted off of it you really just devolved into turning this place into GDB. |

Also I could be wrong here but I think the guy telling people they're pathetic is none other than the same guy who was a former staff member that impersonated ender on these boards and had a meltdown when I wouldn't let him put up a vote link.

Banning people is somewhat pointless. But in this context it was necessary. The guy was just flaming/spamming us. A clear fanboy, he can come back if he wants but he'll just get banned again and I can't say that I don't derive some satisfaction in knowing that people are that upset with us here that they have to resort to what that bag of douche was posting.

Glad to see that nipped in the bud.
It's almost funny that we're the disgruntled and jaded ones (supposedly) and yet that was one of the most negative people I've seen show up here, not only spewing sarcasm and hatefulness all over the place, but doing it to the exclusion of any kind of worthwhile content in any posts.
Although I think crediting that guy with being staff seems like giving extra credit where it's not due. Unless things have changed drastically in the last 2 years, someone who WAS staff would know that the plurality, if not the majority, of staff complaints... are complaints about/against Nyr. In over a year, I never saw a complaint against more than 90% of staff, but Nyr was the target of what I'd guess was the vast majority, but at least half of them. Unless it's Nyr. In which case, that's hilarious.

Lol, nope. I put up the vote link. I "impersonated" ender because your own docs about this board said "pick a random GDB handle" and I followed your tip. I put up a vote link because I agreed with some of your complaints and wanted to create the appearance that this board was up in good faith and not an anti-Armageddon spite board, so that maybe there would be potential future goodwill that would allow both disgruntled players and staff to reach some kind of understanding for their mutual benefit and that of the game. *You* had a meltdown, because you freaked out and banned me after making this whole board about how banning is for sissies and people should be able to say what they want or whatever. But that, along with your guys' other brilliant plan to direct link images to steal bandwidth from Arm shows that the board is still infested mostly with butthurt trolls, whatever thin veneer of legitimate gripes you maintain. |

In which case, that's hilarious. In his first post though he mentioned something about people here blaming a soulless ginger. (A nice reference to south park as well i thought) I really thought this person is either a staff member who would know that bit of information about Nyr or is just a player a player who is good friends with staff(sponsored roles) and/or will want to join someday. Then again out of all the people I knew in game over the years who have had problems with staff it is Nyr's name who continually came up. Now after coming here and listening to people stories well it doesn't feel like much of a surprise he is the source of 90% of the complaints. It is something that can easily be inferred to almost I feel at this point. You can look at the GBC itself and see just how many other people mention having raged after dealing with Nyr and quitting the game for a while. Glad you confirmed it though. That said, again I don't feel Nyr is completely to blame here for his behavior. He has been allowed if not encouraged to behave the way he does by other senior staff members. Some of those staff members who might not act any differently than Nyr if they were forced to do it. At this point I would love to just hear out this person's reasoning for going out of his way and trolling the way he does, it cannot just be out of sheer fun of it, too much trouble after all. ...though it seems its just because he wasn't allowed to post a link to discworld mud... sigh  |

Oh and just to mention something useful to this thread, there are various free VPN offered out there with easy to install options. You can have one set up in five minutes, I recently tried a few. Just take the time to research them or ask about them. Remember that connection speed and data limits often don't matter since if all you are using it is for the MUD, it almost needs nothing at all, a few kbytes of data each session I think and people used to play perfectly on a 56k modem.

also I guess it the huge overlap between posting styles and criticisms must be a coincidence: players are just making up complaints and criticisms we're pathetic excessive use of LOL when starting a post: lol, talk about butthurt internet janitors, you put up a spiteboard with 100 members and you turn into Anti-Nyr the Almighty or some shit, relax big guy LOL, paying to play Armageddon after being banned. and you both started posting again within nearly 24 hours of each other ...after registering both accounts within the same week. Yep, must be a total coincidence that the only two people to rage this hard since these boards have been up for a year have all these things in common I'm sure they're not the same person at all. |
