Does anyone have examples of undocumented or poorly documented syntax that would be handy for people to be more aware of?
Example: "pull reins" used to cause certain mounts, while being ridden, to help you in combat. This was eventually removed, but I'm fairly certain it was never in the help files at any point.
Anyone have examples of syntax like this today that still works, but either isn't mentioned in the help files, or isn't widely known about?

There was one example. I cannot remember the precise syntax, but I'm sure someone here could. At the time I last took an interest in such things, there was a (then undocumented) command that would allow you to pull a blade from certain sheaths (e.g. a wrist sheath) quietly into an equipped states. Last time I looked, this was not explained in the documentation.
It seemed like kind of a niche command, for the reason that it's principle application seemed to be if you were shadowing someone, and decided to go for a backstab, but hadn't yet thought to equip a blade. Properly executed, you wouldn't risk breaking the "hide" effect and I don't even think it produced a visible echo.
Sorry that I don't remember the syntax, but I'm sure someone here does. I'm posting this one for the simple reason that I found it baffling at the time that we as players had been meant to discover this simply by goofing around with the command parser.
Happy backstabbing!

Way back in the day gather used to be an open command meaning anyone could do it. I once used it in Luirs and got in trouble by Ness after they killed me as a sorc. I asked him why it wasn't a locked command or whatever and he said it's purposefully designed this way. Eventually they locked it.

Palm/slip? Also, as for the weapon thing, if you draw a dagger and have sleight of hand, you will silently draw it. Lulz told me sleight of hand needs to be at a high level for this to happen.

Flip weapon. Some weapons, at least one staff that I've seen, you can type flip <weapon> while holding it, and it becomes a club, or an axe/slashing weapon. Something like that. It's not immediately obvious how to do it by reading the desc and I don't recall ever seeing flip used for anything but coins. Someone told me OOCly to try "flip staff". It was kind of neat.
