There are interesting areas and it is satisfying when you find them. It helps if you enjoy decaying, apocalyptic settings. The problem is that solo outings are suicide unless you really, really know what you're doing and group runs are incredibly spammy. The animal life is brutal so you don't do much roleplaying, you keep your eyes on your prompt.
I can't tell you much about stealth, I have never been good enough at it to use it against mobs.

How much focus is there on RP? It sounds like it's leaning on these group excursions, which is great, but I'd be interested to hear about more of the social dynamics.  |

RP is quite good most of the time, I found it to be on par with Arm. This is not counting group runs, of course. When they had 20+ players at peak, the clan dynamics were pretty exciting. Now we have less players and Parallel's theme is more "we're in this together" than let's fuck over one another. I look forward to seeing where the imms will take the whole Hyperion dome storyline. All of Atonement incarnations had an overarching plot line that eventually materializes.

i think the game can be very fun, but unless your playing peak times it can be very boring. the setting is good, the players are good, the staff can be good thogh ive had my issues with them. i have a few issues with the economy and the clan system, it just looks broken to me, that said its only my opinion and the good bits make up for the things i take issue with. oh, combat skills are rediculous to try and raise past a certain point, but i gues that is just how the game is supposed to be. the skill gain timers are too slow for my tastes.
if a lot more people were playing this game, it could be very fun. once there were. still, good characters ig that can be lots of fun to play with.

Wow I'm pretty surprised, I peeked in on it like 2 weeks ago and there was still a few new posts on the board from around the beginning of the month.
Yeah if there's any parallel or atonement peeps lurking feel free to use this as a rallying point.

The parallel and atonement peeps are two different groups. The turds still playing PRPI are fmes and flowery emote fags who like to play house. There's essentially 6-8 people who talk ooc. Did I mention that they allowed multiple chars?
Players from Atonement are either trying to save SoI from RPI hell or stopped bothering with MUDs years ago.
Ltown Springs is a minute idea from the two admins who took over Parallel RPI when it was already dead to make a RPI that replicates the Alpha of Atonement when they didn't even play it themselves. Nothing to waste brain power on.
