This game seems pretty legit. No players really to speak of but it sounds like it could be good. I get the impression it’s still in heavy development. Anyone have any experience with it? accursed-lands.net/Edit: turns out it’s 25 years old and is actively developed but surprisingly still has some bugs that manifest pretty immediately in the newbie tutorial. They claim a player count of ~10 peaking at 20.

I used to play it with a friend years ago. I haven't played it in more than a decade. We played goblins and would do nothing but train and do survival sim things in the middle of nowhere with zero interaction with other players. We only had one interaction with other players and I think it immediately turned to PK. My friend that played awhile was paranoid of other players but I hadn't really understood paranoia of players at that point since I hadn't even played Arm yet by then.
It had some interesting mechanics and a lot of depth to it in many ways. It's a huge grind to play too and I just got tired of doing it. I remember us beating each other with sticks and rocks a lot and maybe close to 90% of our play time was doing exactly that.
If you're going to play it, play with a friend otherwise you will be very lonely. The wilderness is incredibly huge and you can basically play a survival sim in the middle of nowhere with each other. It seems like a huge endless map world but it's probably not actually endless. Maybe it's gotten more players since I played but I wouldn't bother with it unless you have a friend that will play with you. Maybe you could play and seek another player in it to play with but I wouldn't know how you'd go about that. But a lot of this could have changed in the years since I played.
