You're so full of shit that it's actually impressive. You're following the typical Trump supporter playbook: take the thing you're accused of and then just accuse the other guy of the exact same thing, and hope some portion of the listeners believe you. I called you (or your buddy; whoever is Grudash) boring, a twink, and subsequently a liar for the bullshit you've been posting in your flailing attempts at damage control. And here you are, calling me boring, a twink, and a liar! Isn't that an uncanny coincidence? It was a near-daily occurrence for Grudash to turn up at the Refuge and go spar with THG for absolutely ridiculous amounts of time, often a full in-game day (1h30m) or longer. You know that's some grade-A twinking, and having been called out on it, your only recourse is to claim that I'm lying. Well, I'm not. Anyway, you're too insane and despicable to continue talking to, so I'm going to stop doing that. You're such a weird fucking person, man. Just... so strange and delusional. You'll recall that you were the one who showed up here and started to spew unhinged insults and personal attacks at me, and now I'm the one being lambasted for hostility when I respond in kind. I guess your disingenuous playground methods have worked on some people around here who have now somehow acquired the misconception that I'm the one who started it. Whew. Thats a lot of powerful words. I don't think anyone even said you were lying...they just challenged the criticism because it was hostile and vile. It took immense prompting to get further details from you which really seem to just show you weren't given the accolades you expected for being an AI dwarf able to sap and OHKO npcs. |

Grudash is not the leader of the thryzn. Other pcs lead them, and any half decent interaction with them would reveal that.
Clearly you weren't paying as close attention as you think you did.
Your uber Stat dwarf wasn't the biggest bad in the room, get over it. A good portion of the playerbase "twinks" and we know it, just like we know you have to "twink" to hit the higher echelons of combat capability.

It's clear by now that the Grudash Defense Brigade has appointed me public enemy #1. I'm done with it, having said what I wanted to say, and I don't intend to be part of this race to the bottom anymore. Insane shitstains like prodoman can go fuck themselves, and snowflakes like joe who fall for those kinds of Trumpian tactics can enjoy whatever weird feeling that gives them. I think it's bizarre in the extreme that some anonymous coward can come in here and start launching hatepost after hatepost at me, and when I respond in kind, suddenly I'm somehow the bad guy. Fuck that. I'm noping out of this cavalcade of mental illness on display here. I'm deeply uncomfortable having anything to do with people like you two.

I look away from this board a few days and look back and all I see are nerds shitting on each other. The one piece of information I see about Thryzn in the last 8 or so posts is that they have a remote camp. Cool.

I feel obligated to come to the defense of Three Howling Gortoks. He's a power gamer but he's also a very talented player. I'm not THG and have never been in the Masterless, but did have my longest lived PC killed by him. Gortoks' speech and emotes can be lacklustre. That's the character, not the player. His PC before THG was fantastic.
The Thryzyn just struck me as another gick tribe. It made no sense to open up an iso tribe known for its magickal abilities, what does that add to the game world? I guess if the mul outpost is a center of play now then their location makes sense...

The original "new" Thryzn had an extremely compelling, player-assisted entry into the game where other existing players helped them scout out and settle a place to live and sacrificed/finagled to rescue the rest of their people from certain death, and there were close ties with the Refuge (mul outpost) due to Sleep & company's pivotal roles in all of the above. The masterless just capitalized on this relationship despite their takeover of the Refuge destroying basically everything Sleep ever stood for... using Sleep's name, because he was force-stored for standing up for his wife against abusive staff.
Yes, THG can play a consistent character, but he was also extremely powergame-focused and would invent reasons to endlessly spar and find just the right gear. This was true when I played in the Garrison with him and it was true of my observations of him on later characters, so I find no reason it wouldn't be true now. Is he a horrible roleplayer? No. Does he put the interests of the game's stories and culture ahead of his own desire to be "on top?" Extremely debatable.

It would be the worst thing they could do for the game. There's already no real reason for there to be a d-elf tribe, they're largely irrelevant and there's no platform for desert-based clans in the Allanak season. Thryzn are even more isolated, even less able to have an impact on the general game, and have no historical role besides their grudge with Tuluk which is closed for play. The thryzn were a pointless drain on player density even back when the whole game was open, and were only even slightly relevant because of their connection to the Masterless. Without any of that, why should they exist?

Think about it, based on what I have seen of Thryzn in seasons they hang out mostly with rogue muls and desert elves. That is 80% of the player's wierd hang ups covered.

I don't think Thryzn PCs will ever be introduced into season one. I would expect a human tribal clan to open up well before anything related to the Thryzn is supported.
And I don't think Armageddon will have a second season to possibly have Thryzn PCs in. The idea of this game lasting into 2027 is a pipe dream when it's currently losing about a dozen players a week, due in part to staff incompetence and in part to player expectations of instant gratification that would be impossible to meet in any RPI, let alone Armageddon.
The only capacity I could see Thryzn coming back is the staff realizing the game has lost too many players for season one to be viable. In that scenario they just open everything, let players play their power fantasies and give up on running a cohesive game.
