"I would like to take a moment here to remind everyone in our player-base that Storage Events are a private, and often IC related, matter. We have been seeing a rapid uptick in people telling others that they've stored their PC. In the event that we get these reports, we will be performing karma reviews and perhaps deductions to the account involved. Please keep in mind that these things can be plot affecting and therefore should not be shared.
If a PC is stored and transits to a VNPC, their story from the point of storage forward belongs to the Storytellers, Administrators, and Producers of Armageddon. Any notification to other players will come IC'ly through staff interactions -- in over 80% of cases, there won't be a need for this. If there is a need, we will take care of it.
If you tell someone your PC is storing and they're going to have a happy life afterwards, please do not be surprised or offended when that is clearly not the case because we threw their corpse somewhere obvious in order to forward a plotline.
Thank you." -From our totally reasonable pal Shalooonsh
Something about 'If you tell someone OOC you stored we'll kill your stored character and take your karma' is the funniest shit in the world to me. 1: I'm stored, what my 'canon' is is whatever I think it is you throwing my corpse at someone doesn't do anything to me you idiots. 2: I've stored important aide characters and then would get messaged by my Noble on the forums or in discord asking where I've been. Ya'll are horrible at actually updating players on where their underlings might be.
This is the kind of shit a bad DM does in a RPG horror story. "I told the other players I wasn't showing up to the game for personal reasons anymore so the DM roleplayed my character being graphically tortured to the other players".

I agree. Purely bad DM territory. It's despicable and I said as much. Why would any competent DM induce such vitriol in their players purposefully? Maliciously? It does absolutely nothing to benefit the game. It's a cheap power trip from someone who doesn't comprehend, or cares to understand, player agency and investment.

Unfortunately, people who still play Armageddon don't have the minimum self-respect required to assert ownership of their character. They will watch Shalooonsh turn their stored character into an undead Fleshlight for the chance to watch a supposed master of writing and roleplaying at work.

Looonsh can barely RP, tbh. He "RPs well" by the standards of Armageddon, which are extremely low.
Mostly, Malifaxis would just do random shit and see what sticks. He was a "fun RPer" because he happened to do more things, tended to ask forgiveness rather than permission from staff, and of course, had a lot of friends on staff so he could basically do whatever he wanted anyway. He leaves a lot of dead characters in his wake, mostly those played by those that aren't in his in-group. And he is terrible at taking the world into consideration with his actions and emotes.
He is what would be called a "personality hire" in a workplace. No qualifications, just able to charm the right people.

He's the worse version of Halaster And Aromit is a worse version of Shalooonsh (Which is a shame, because he used to not be a prick)

One would almost be led to believe that the staff need to reserve the right to animate stored characters because they can't write a good character themselves.
