Folk wisdom on game stats is that going fully random yields better average results than prioritizing.
How sure are any of us that this is actually the case? I don't currently play so I 'spose this doesn't actually affect me, but I'll have to admit to being darned curious. Anyone able to corroborate this? It's not like we can count on the staff to be forthcoming. Heck, we can't even really expect them to know the answer to something like this and there has been an interesting number of 'code bugs' uncovered recently, LOL.

It's supposed to yield marginally better rolls on average, but it's not worth doing. Even if your total pool of stats is one point lower with prioritization, it's much better to prioritize and get your stats in the order you want. Otherwise you might make a raider and come in with extremely good wisdom and poor agility.
