so with master scan getting tacked on to more guilds and even a 0-karma subguild, does anyone here figure there will be many changes to how sneakies play out?
my take is that unless there were any changes to stealth bonuses from agility and equipment, or to wisdom scan bonuses, it feels alot like they made the change to give false hope

From my understanding of the scan vs. stealth meta, I would agree with your assessment. Although the lack of scan in some guilds was a very important oversight that we pointed out back when the guild revamp was happening (especially to the Guard subguild, to not have scan, which makes it incredibly difficult for them to be a "Guard"), there's still the matter of how wisdom scan bonuses are weighed towards the high end of the wisdom roll (very good or greater) which will not at all help a combat-focused character that has wisdom as the necessary 4th stat. And stealth has always been able to push above the theoretical max of scan with dex+equipment additions. At the very least I see this slowing down the stealth meta with more stealthy sorts making absolutely sure they are maxed out before they go and do anything, which while that's bad game design IMO, that's probably the time-sink pound of flesh buffer that staff want to implement to slow down the churning stealth meta.

city elfs have stupidly good agi which on top of "good" hide and good clothing bonuses is unhindered even my master scan
